Thanks everyone for the replies and D, those videos are excellent - when you say camera mount - what specifically do you mean?

GoPro Hero3

I am pondering investing in a GoPro Hero3 as a filming option while diving. My skill level isn't nearly high enough to get into focusing on photography/video; I need to continue to practice buoyancy, trim, fining etc etc. However, after getting back in the water after a few months hiatus (past due a...

PNW Reading Material

After a very brief preview of PNW diving on amazon books I realized that there is a fair smattering of options for those like myself who are interested in getting their bookworm on. What are folks opinions on the top 5-7 books about PNW diving. My emphasis would be on dive sites and critters but all...

Waterproof Hood: http://www.waterproof.se/en/products/accessories/hoods/h1-5-10mm/ It is crazy toasty. Silent World in Bellevue Carries them. I'm not a good reference for comparisons, having only dove a rented 3mm hood for my first three dives and then got tired of my ears going numb, so i ponied up...

Re: Looking for a great inexpensive light?

Another +1 to the company. Ordered this light, took it on my first night dive and it immediatly flooded at about 20ft. The next day I called them, let them know what had happened and the response was: no problem we've had this happen to a few send it back to us and we'll get you a new one asap. So i...

Hello Hello - Brand New Diver

Hello NWDC! Finally got my act together and logged a post here - been lurking for about a month now. I recently got certified about 2 months ago on a whim and was immediately hooked. Who knew the Puget Sound had live things in it? Long story short, I' now have 15 dives under my belt, own all of my o...
