Re: GPO attacks Gdog's camera and won't let go!

That was so cool! Although I'm sure Gdog was maybe not so thrilled at the time. :)

Re: Travel to Roatan

The last time we went to Roatan, it was only $150 more to buy first class tickets. It was worth it! The redeye flight and long layover in Miami was made better by the excellent American lounge there - showers, food, alcohol, nap areas. Every penny counts, but sometimes a splurge is worth it. Bill is...

Re: Sunnyside Beach and Sund Rock -- NAUI AOW Days 1 and 2

Sounds like a great class!

I've had buddies complain because I spin around a lot, but I LOVE helicopter kicks. Back kicks too! They take some time to master, but are an excellent, useful skill.

Kudos to you both!

Re: Bonaire: Crab & Flounder Mystery

I once encountered a flounder cruising above the eel grass at the junk yard. It came right at my face, and nipped at the bolt snap dangling off my regulator. Always searching for food. Fish are funny!

Nearly 900 feet. Jebus.

This is so heartbreaking for the divers and their families. I hope they are able to heal.

Re: Trying to find a group to join

Welcome to the board! The Bubbles & Suds group meets on Wednesdays (usually) for a north end dive (T-dock/Edmonds/Clay Walls/etc.) and then a second "dive" involving beer and food at a local spot. Keep an eye on the dive planning forum for the location that week. If you're willing to t...

Photos of underwater oil rigs, etc.?

Do any of you have a photo of structures like oil rigs or something similar, preferably crusted with life? I'm doing a presentation on offshore wind turbines and would like to show how much life can grow on them. I can pay you in cupcakes. I make pretty good cupcakes! And you will of course receive ...

I'm so sorry for your loss, but how amazing is it that you're taking her on all these adventures! I love the image of her under the Saguaro in the sun, and floating in the waves on all the beaches. Scattering remains?

My dad passed away at the end of last week and was cremated. As he was an avid scuba diver and the inspiration for myself and my sister to get certified, we would like to scatter his ashes in the ocean that he loved so much. We're from Georgia, so most of his diving was done in Florida, with a stint...
