Re: looking for a NiMH battery charger for Dive-X Sierra

I did end up contacting Batteryspace after this thread posting and was given a quote for the "NiMH 24V 13Ah battery" rebuild for ~$410. I haven't moved on it yet since they said they wouldn't have stock until June to do it.

Dashrynn were you able to rebuild your own battery?

Re: looking for a NiMH battery charger for Dive-X Sierra

I heard back and my battery and charger are both dead so I'm looking into options. Let me know how your Rabbit Tools experience works out. I will also research the Lithium option.

Re: looking for a NiMH battery charger for Dive-X Sierra

Thanks that is a good data point. My LEDs also not come on. I should solve the charger issue sooner than later I suppose. I was getting good run time out of the battery previously so hopefully it's still got some life left in it.

Re: looking for a NiMH battery charger for Dive-X Sierra

I'm in the same situation. My Sierra NiMH charger also appeared to quit working (no LED's or charger fan kicking on when plugged/unplugged from the battery). I emailed DiveX and explained what was happening and that my battery had been hooked onto the charger for the last year or so and had not been...

I can make it after an unexpected opening this evening! :eric: I'll try to arrive early to facilitate a carpool and have this forum on my phone. I'll be in a black hatchback. Someone can ride with me probably.

Re: The GoPro Killer Has Arrived

Did the coldwater lower light vid ever get created? http://www.woot.com/ has the "Fuhu nabi Square HD Rugged Childproof, Waterproof, Shockproof, 8MP, 1080p Action Camcorder" for $49.99 today. "waterproof to 30m" I'm wondering how it does in low light coldwater compared to the SJ4...

Ratfish Attack!

I'm curious if anyone else has been 'spined' by a ratfish. After discussing with some other board members at ThThTh I'm hoping to confirm it's somewhat rare. My story: thefeve and I were at the Mukilteo Oil Docks this time last year and ended up completely surrounded by ratfish (hundreds!) We were i...

Re: Three Tree 11/7

Thanks for the tour and the great dive! (I'm glad I didn't give up on the drive half way due to traffic.) It was nice meeting Gdog and Yelloweye in person. I will be trying to add some more ThThTh into my schedule once in awhile.

I've been meaning to venture south and meet and dive with you guys (if that's alright :notworthy: .) I could plan on 2 dives and should be able to start at 5pm. Does anyone bring a scooter? I have a Sierra I can bring.

Currents in Mexico - Cabo San Lucas

Does anyone know of any websites for current predictions in Mexico? Specifically Cabo San Lucas - Gordo Banks.

I would like to book my dive (in a few weeks) on a day with good currents.
