The steps are temporarily open at Redondo. We needed them open for the MAST programs this week.
Permanent fix coming very soon. Actually, the sandbags work pretty darn well!

Re: Found CCR gear at Hood Canal?

No, no bodies involved...that I know of.
This CCR item (hint: Not for a Meg) was brought in to Tacoma Scuba late on Saturday.
It was handed to me for identification as to it's function and purpose.
This ain't a cheap piece of the kit! Somebody wants this bad-boy returned.
Pass the word!

Found: A lost critical piece of a CCR

I also posted this in the No Bubble Zone as well: A very important piece of a CCR has been found over in the Hood Canal Territory. I have it in my grubby saltwater stained fingers here at Rancho Neglecto De La Starfish. If it's yours, I'm sure you'll know what it is. Can't dive a CCR without it. PM ...

Found CCR gear at Hood Canal?

Anyone missing a critical piece of their CCR? It was found over at Hood Canal and turned in yesterday (Sat PM). Describe your rig and the anguish that may go with it. I have it in my saltwater stained paws. Just want to get it back to the proper owner. I know how I'd feel if I lost one of these. I f...

That is what I was hearing lately. Good news. I too really liked diving with Sea Dragon out of W.Van/Howe Sound. Not that I know Cap'n Dan is aboard, I'll be sure to book all sorts of trips. I've been with Dan and Mamro Charters out of Kitimat BC a few times. Dan! Let's go find some more bombs on th...

Re: Neoprene neckseals

I've always been a neoprene suit fan for many years. latex seals have constantly given me troubles. I'm one of those "gents" that has a short (thicker?) neck. If the fit was done right, leakage should not be any trouble. Yes, the extra insulation is a good thing with neoprene. As the new n...

I was with a group of friends from the Marker Buoys at Titlow yesterday as well. We arrived at the site at 10am. Were you with the group that was rigging up on the tables? I think that group was with Steves's Scuba? We got in the water about 1100-ish and most of us did a 80 min dive. We also went fi...

Fifteen years ago I could walk into a half-dozen dive ops in S. FL and get nitrox on demand!
I moved home to PNW after cg career and was surprised to see how far behind the NW was re nitrox.
So Cal was still wondering what nitrox was back then. FL had 'em all beat!
