Laura, not at all. The dives were however at recreational depths (I do not include deep technical dives in this list).

Re: Water Temperatures Past 45 Months

Yes, you can have the data I've collected. I have it both as a table in Word and in Excel. You can email me at johndo88@gmail.com and I'll send it to you. My data collection starts November 2015 to present (the first two dives in August 2019, but I'll be adding a third entry tonight). :)

Re: Water Temperatures Past 45 Months

The Shearwater records every 10 seconds. The numbers I use are the lowest temperatures recorded on each dive.

Water Temperatures Past 45 Months

How much do you think the water temperature changes over the course of a year in Puget Sound? During the last 45 months I have collected 247 water temperature measurements using the same Shearwater Petrel 2. When I dive multiple times per day at the same site, I only use one sample for that site on ...

Average Water Temp Past 3 years

This chart represents 205 dives logged on my Petrel 2 over the last three years from January 2016 to December 2018. These samples were taken in Puget Sound from Skyline Wall to Tacoma. Your computer results may vary. :)

US Supreme Court may hear case regarding beach access

People who own waterfront property generally only own that property down to the high water mark. The property below the high water mark is generally in the public trust. The US Supreme Court might hear a case that could change that. Warning, this video is 20 minutes long. https://youtu.be/NqtrOrAHND...

Harbor Seals at Mukilteo T-Dock

Went on a night dive last night at the Mukilteo T-Dock. In the past I get just a glimpse of a Harbor Seal from time to time. Last night we saw two of them and they both are much more comfortable with divers. As with Cove 2, Harbor Seals can screw up visibility, but it was fun having them dart about,...

Re: Water in SPG Gauge

Could the two little O-rings that sit on either end of the long pin tube thingie be the culprit? The long pin is called a spindle (at least that's what I've been told). If those O-rings were bad, you would see champagne bubbles coming out. Those O-rings can't fill your gauge with water. There is a ...

Plus 1 on Shearwater. Had Cobalts (four of them) and had some problems. I've had Shearwaters for several years now, not a single problem. Can't recommend them enough.

And just my two cents, there should be no odor. If anything smells, don't dive it.
