Re: Dumb questions

Seattle Cragslist, see them all the time, though admittedly I see the same thing you're talking about a lot too. The wetsuit so old it's cracking, Bc that's been eaten by mice, and a pre 89 al80 for $1000 guy. Delusional. Examples of what I'm talking about. Fins and boots, $40 - http://seattle.crai...

Re: Cave Line

Wish I would have seen this about four days ago. I just bought some nylon line to use for setting a beach entry point marker with a chem light. Thanks for the offer just the same.

http://www.leisurepro.com/p-aplfpc/apollo-bio-fins-pro-c-series-with-stainless-steel-fin-strap $279. For that price they better come with a pants-down spankin'! The Hollis yellow tipped F1s are over $200 at DRIS too. Ridonkulous! http://www.diverightinscuba.com/catalog/finsfins-hollis-f1batfi...

Re: Spring Straps

I got to dive my F1's for the first time this past weekend at Cove 2. I found that even with a size 13 rock boot I had to adjust my springs because somehow I managed to knock one fin off. Luckily for me my dive buddy saw it and grabbed right after it dropped. I knew something felt weird but did not...

Re: Soaking Gear

Im leary of salt away. Not convinced it isnt hard on latex seals. Any evidence to the contrary? I always fresh water rinse after salt away. I figure the salt away helps break down salt crystals better than just a rinse or a soak, especially when the rinse water will have salt in it anyways. Especia...

You're welcome Dusty...like I said, I hope you enjoy whatever you end up buying. In the end, the important thing is that you enjoy the suit and get in the water.

Re: Fin to fit the colossal Whites Evo 3 boot size 14/15

I have the EvoIII's in size 13 and use a pair of Hollis F1's in XXL. The boot fits nice and snug into the foot pocket of the fin. One of the guys that dives with the shop I go to just bought the EvoIII's and he wears the same boot as you. He went with the Hollis F1's like I did but in XXXL.

Re: drysuit info?

Hey Dusty. I am a Whites Fusion Bullet fan myself. Although I don't have the time in a drysuit that many here do I can honestly say that I took to my Bullet like a fish to water. Everything I had read prior to getting my Bullet prepared me for a re-learning curve on buoyancy and trim. Well... I can...

Re: BP&W advice needed

That's pretty much it. I've got a white pastel pencil for those sorts of things, but even a soft graphite pencil will leave enough of a mark. Just remember that trimmed neoprene isn't easy to add back. I hear that...we had a saying when I was in construction, "you can always more off but you c...

Re: BP&W advice needed

So I found another question to ask. This time it is about drysuit hood trimming. I have a brand new White's non zippered drysuit hood that is in need of being trimmed around my face where my mask sits and at my chin. I am trying to figure out the best way to trim the hood to fit my face and my mask...

That is an incredible video Koos and what these people are doing is incredible as well. The cave system seems to me...unimaginable. To be the size it is and the beauty is just incredible. I am sure this will be an amazing meet and greet. Have fun!!!

Santa Claus brought me a new harness today. I got it threaded on my plate and all setup and ready to get wet and adjust.
