Re: Neah Bay, August 2017
Thanks, it brought back fond memories of trips out there. It's called Cape Flattery. Cape Disappointment is at the Columbia R entrance. Some other great dives in that area are Waadah Fingers, Garbage Dump, Oley's Hole, China Wall, Andalusia and Duncan Rock.

Re: 2017, Wrapping Up - # of Dives? Highlights? Lowlights?
Hey Tim, lets splash this year. I got 71 dives, nothing exotic, all Puget and BC. My faves were Snake Island Wall and Hoko Reef. It was a lot more shore diving plus charters as my boat was available only a few months. Ooh! Can can you post a trip report on snake Island wall on a separate thread? I ...

Re: air consumption curiosity
It matters for four reasons. 1. You use less air in a dry suit because you use less energy staying warm until you get a leak. 2. You will use more air staying warm by inflating your dry suit. 3. your going to use more air in a dry suit adjusting buoyancy. 4. Wet suits are usually more streamlined so...

Re: Pony tank question
I mount my pony to my main. It has a SPG on short hose I can read pre-dive but only a buddy can read during dive. I'm never in deco and I'm immediately going to 15 feet rest stop or the surface if I have to use my pony. Since I always breath the reg pre-dive and occasionally during rest stops it get...

I had one charge strait at me from 25 feet away and stick its nose in my face on Possession Ferry last July. I'd like to know how to read their body language to tell when they are friendly or not.

Re: Dive Xtra Sierra scooters for sale
Thanks for all the tips. It's fixed (pitch screw) plus annual service. It was not a case of - it's not very fast. It was a case of - it doesn't move at all in any speed unless I push it. It was just an unfortunate coincident that a key $1.75 part broke just when I bought it. I'm a happy camper now p...

Re: Dive Xtra Sierra scooters for sale
I bought one of them. Not happy with it - no torque. I adjusted the pitch but the plastic bolt broken. No I did not force it. So it might just be the bolt and prop pitch. Or maybe I put it back together wrong after taking it apart to see what the problem was. Or maybe it's the clutch. The blades tur...

Jeremy, Are you referring to Yellow Tails, Copper or Quillback? I was at KVI Sunday and didn't notice Yellow Tails or Coppers but did take Quillback and Brown RF pics with no problems. We took a wandering path East from the buoy to the boat at 85 FSW.
