Re: Club dive! Club dive! Club dive! MOVED! May 10th, 2014!

Good times today --

Thanks to all of you, but also so very nice to finally put faces with a few names I've seen online for awhile. It was a pleasure and great that weather cooperated.

I look forward our next splash all...

Re: Stubbies & Worms

You know those worms swim into your ears and lay eggs that hatch into larvae that latch onto and feed on your brain stem, right? haven't you seen the Wrath of Kahn? It's a close relative of the Centaurian Slug. So you've been warned. Seriously though... what were those? some sort of flat worm? Haven...

Re: Costa Rica Dives - con Whale Shark

Yes, tons of fish life and the vids definitely don't capture a whole lot of what I saw well... Definitely a fun place to dive... Guides we said say Aug actually was a better time to dive as vis improves and if I had any complaints that'd be it... it was only so-so. and yes, Jenn... I was wearing the...

Costa Rica Dives - con Whale Shark

Had (sadly only) 2 days of great diving in Playas del Coco and Playa Ocotal in Costa Rica. Struggled with which dive shop to go with after some good advice by folks on the board (thanks again -- It was very helpful not jsut for dive shops but other things as well) and also a buncha research on my ow...

Holy smokes Octoloco -- Glad you came back to tell the tale. Wow, just wow. Yes, the cloud forest and arenal are definitely on the list. And no plans for SanJose and flying in through Liberia when we go we think. WB - also always good to hear about good safety conscious outfits. Very important to us...

Costa Rica Dives / Recommendations

Anyone have any experience or recommendations for north pacific coast costa rica (esp Papagayo Gulf) dive services / boats / sites -- Define do's or do nots?

Also any similar comments on non-dive related c-r adventures is appreciated.

Appreciate any thoughts.

Bah! You guys -- always so interested in science... in what will work! Humbug! Not surprised to see there's major technical difficulties, to say the least. Usually I'm the one debunking the pseudoscience... just got lazy this time I guess. M'bad... Guess it's kinda similar to the tuna's problem... t...

Human Gills?

OK, so if this turns out to be a buncha blow, I won't be surprised and I haven't researched it a bit. But still, how could would this be if it wasn't? Ditching all those heavy tanks and having endless dives? m m I'm skeptical to say the least given the technical challenges, but still, a boy can drea...

Welcome to the board. As is often mentioned to new members on the board, if you're looking to get dives in, be sure to check out the weekly dive groups under the dive planning section. You'll get a warm welcome at any of them.

Very awesome and all the more so that it's already having such a positive impact on your lives. And I'm adding to the chorus about gas management... Very good that he dealt with it well from the sounds, but not a position you want to find yourself in, so glad to hear people weighing in to both train...

Woohoo! Congrats! I'm not even yet feeling the pull to the dark side of tech diving because I know I still got WAY too much to learn in rec limits before I go to the Warren Car... A man has to know his limitations, especially in this sport... but your accomplishment is something to be cherished and...

Asked an arachnophile buddy of mine about the spider. Here's what he had to say. Weird. I think it just fell in. The saltwater would do strange shit to the body's coloration. I've never heard of any spider, anything from Araneae, living in saltwater. Argyroneta aquatica lives underwater, but only in...
