Rockaway Beach 05Jun21 10:30ish -- A craptastic 5feet... maybe opening up to 7 at about 85fsw. So yeaahhh... there's that. Enough to keep track of your buddy. Barely.
A friend reported similar vis at Harper Pier early afternoon.

16May2021 am -- Fox Island West Knee Wall (calling it a wall when it's like less than 10 feet high seems ingenuous)
5 feet in the shallows to about 15 fsw
10-15 along the wall to about 65fsw
Stay salty, y'all...

Re: Fox Island Bridge tomorrow
Thanks for the replies all, really appreciate it. Good dive. We splashed about 7:15. Had a light west current throughout the dive, definitely stronger (not surprisingly) near midspan... I'd say minimum may have been maybe 7:45 or a little later, so actually was pretty happy with the way it played......

Fox Island Bridge tomorrow
All, A friend and I are planning a splash at the Fox Island Bridge tomorrow (3/20/21 - Sat ~715ish am). I know it can be an A$$kicker for current if timed wrong so appreciate wisdom from those who have gone before me at the site. Sites (presumably models) disagree a little on slack time, but seems b...

Sund rock. 11July2020
10+ to about 30 fsw
25 + below that
Improved from a couple weeks ago though seemed to get a bit worse after afternoon winds kicked up yesterday.

Also CRAZY 20F+ thermocline about the same depth -- Literally dropped 20F in 3-5 Feet descent at about 45fsw, if that.
Choose... see things and freeze, or be warm but unable to ascertain tank pressures as you deco.

Thanks to all of you, but also so very nice to finally put faces with a few names I've seen online for awhile. It was a pleasure and great that weather cooperated.
I look forward our next splash all...

Re: Stubbies & Worms
You know those worms swim into your ears and lay eggs that hatch into larvae that latch onto and feed on your brain stem, right? haven't you seen the Wrath of Kahn? It's a close relative of the Centaurian Slug. So you've been warned. Seriously though... what were those? some sort of flat worm? Haven...

Re: Costa Rica Dives - con Whale Shark
Yes, tons of fish life and the vids definitely don't capture a whole lot of what I saw well... Definitely a fun place to dive... Guides we said say Aug actually was a better time to dive as vis improves and if I had any complaints that'd be it... it was only so-so. and yes, Jenn... I was wearing the...

Costa Rica Dives - con Whale Shark
Had (sadly only) 2 days of great diving in Playas del Coco and Playa Ocotal in Costa Rica. Struggled with which dive shop to go with after some good advice by folks on the board (thanks again -- It was very helpful not jsut for dive shops but other things as well) and also a buncha research on my ow...

Human Gills?
OK, so if this turns out to be a buncha blow, I won't be surprised and I haven't researched it a bit. But still, how could would this be if it wasn't? Ditching all those heavy tanks and having endless dives? http://www.dudeiwantthat.com/outdoors/watersports/triton-human-gills.asp http://www.smithson...
