Many moons ago Bassman and I dove a small lake near his house. It was short and uneventful, and it was at night, which added to the creepy surrealness (word?) of dropping toward the bottom, thinking you see it, then reaching out to touch it and your hand arm and light dissappear into it, yet you fe...

Yeah, that's wicked. I remember seeing that on the news a while back. Something was wrong with it and it was at the end of its life. I suppose it figured a trip to the surface from 2000 FSW would be a great way to spend its last days! :book: In the video it kind've died dramatically.. you could tel...

Yeah, I'll go with the guy about 15 minutes.. I've never really soaked wetsuits in the past (not for diving) usually I've just taken a shower with them, a longer than normal shower rubbing them and running them under the fresh water. Then hang out to dry. Never had a problem with corossion or nothing.

Not cool, this is one of the places I'd like to goto someday. Don't get me wrong but I won't curtail because of bombings. But yeah, it blows. Kind of like the Red Sea where I'll be soon..

Don't buy Sony.

Personally I'd highly recommend Canon after seeing the pictures they've put out. Same as Mr. Tom Nic's Casio.. if you check out his pictures on the board, they're great.

We brought up a deep tow, and I knew it was going to have hundreds, if not thousands, of ratfish," he recalls. "And then I saw it." Gleaming like a pearl in the mass of brown was a pure white albino, a rare phenomenon in the aquatic world. "This animal would just stand out like ...

This is absolutely classic: A surprising bonus of participating in the activity of naked scuba diving is that it also allows the diver to awaken to the undersea surroundings that encourages increased diving skills. An example is the rugged and sharp rocks, coral and cliffs that can snag and damage ...

You're so close to some amazing diving, I'd hoof it out to Cozumel or as lamont said, head South and do some cenote diving. That way, you'll also miss some of the annoying Senor Frogs action. Some info I wrote about the diving in that area: http://www.calvintang.com/blog/2005/12/mayan-riviera-divin...

Hey Everyone,
