Re: 100 FT Rock

A little history ..If this is the same place im thinking about it was called the haines wharf rock in the 70's...Only 80 feet deep at the deepest and usually a octopus under it...That marina is called haines wharf and there is a sunken mast out in front of it just to the south.. Used to belong to th...

Re: feeding the fish

Whats wrong with your attitude administrator. To lazy to read...How did I deserve that? What Have I done to you to be treated this way..I asked a question that should deserve a well thought out respectful answer..Not an insult. I can see why this website is on its way down hill fast with the attitud...

Re: re-breathers

Finally someone got the point of my original post. Thank you Mr due...I' m only talking about recreational divers and seem to have hurt some feelings. For that Im sorry..I just believe the simplier things are the safer they are. And safety should be number one for recreational divers. Ive seen too m...

Re: re-breathers

ok ive got alot of smart remarks but nobody has answered my question. I believe Rena b has made the most sense. Diving deeper is NOT and I repeat NOT the goal of recreational divers...Ever....NO recreational diver should EVER make a decompression dive unless there is a chamber waiting for them on th...

Re: snorkel recommendation

Snorkling does take practice and you have to work at it for awhile to get it down without getting water down the wind pipe. I prefer the simple one with no purges or water baffles on top. But Im an old guy kinda set in my ways. My son uses one of the new ones with baffles at the top and it works gre...

Re: wet suit poll

Well thank you all for all those opinions. I thought it would be an interesting exchange of idea and I was right. I started diving in a wet suit I built myself in the late 60's. I dove wetsuits untill I bought my first dry suit in the late 70's. With the invention of the waterproof zipper they becam...

wet suit poll

Am I and my son the only ones who still dive with wets suits or are there others out there in scuba land who also appreciate the simple, low cost, joy of being one with the water. Feeling that cold liquid slowly putting your body to sleep is part of the experience. Or am I just strange? I hear that ...

Hello

Its nice to see a place for everyone interested in diving to meet and exchange ideas and answer questions. Ive been out of diving for some years now but due to my sons taking up the sport I have been drawn back in..And I must say I have missed it. Im 60 now and took up diving when I was 16. I worked...
