Snorkling does take practice and you have to work at it for awhile to get it down without getting water down the wind pipe. I prefer the simple one with no purges or water baffles on top. I love the taste of greenling..But each of us have our tastes...I thought when I first posted this and got very little response that spearfishing was a no no nowdays...I used to go out 30 years ago and get a ling or two every dive...We got a 26 lb cab under the fox island bridge one day...Now seems ...

Its nice to see a place for everyone interested in diving to meet and exchange ideas and answer questions.
