I dove it last week. The wreck is ok, but of course its a bit of a swim. The wreck is deteriorating and the port side is almost gone. Linedog and I dove Redondo Monday. the viz was pretty good. About 25 feet or so. We did the first dive in the usual spot then went off the boat ramp for the second.

I built this rig out of a cutting board, some PVC fittings and Loc+Line arms. I used 2 of the HOG Morph 1000 video lights. Haven't shot with it yet but I hope to next week.. I think I have about $30 in the rig itself. Hopefully Ill have it perfected by the time I go to Cozumel!

Ya , the poor old girl is in rough shape. Kind of a pile of assorted boat parts with a couple of discarded anchor lines strung over the top of it. Sad. It would be cool to have a bunch of those concrete reef balls down there though.

Yep, it's all done. We put the line in on the last piling on the left (end of the pier). It's a pretty short swim to the wreck from the pier. Also, the wreck got pretty hammered from the construction and the support vesels / anchor lines.

Ultra cool! We go to the Oregon coast yearly and I recognized the picture as being taken from the whale museum above Depoe bay before I read the post! You're super lucky to have seen a blue. I'm envious...

Friday, Linedog and I went to see the west wall. It had been a few years since either of us had been there. Had a good dive, saw 1 one octo with an impressive jab. He took a swipe and Chris's camera. I counted 2 sea stars. Here's the video

All my usual dive pals are busy or injured this weekend and I have 2 full tanks in my garage. I hate to leave them sitting there neglected... So does anyone want to hit the south sound or maybe the canal on Sunday? Early morning is better.

I have tettnanger hops. but I have a friend who grows cascades and a few other varieties as well if you're interested.
