Dove it today and spent a moment with Jake enjoying the awesome viz and his perfect resting spot. Thought of his post about the hood hanging off his buddies crotch strap - he's missed.

Hey -
We'll be there in less than a month! Great story - and I second the book recommendation. I'll poke around here and see if I still have mine. If I do, I'll bring it for you.

DUI Delta not venting air?
Hi all - I have been having an issue where my DUI Delta BC does not vent air when I depress the low pressure inflator. I have to manually put pressure on the bladder and then attempt again before it will vent all of the air in the BC. I have reported this issue to DUI. They have no other reports of ...

Re: Josh never thought he'd see the day.....
Well, a Scotsman clad in kilt left the bar one evening fair. And one could tell by how he walked that he'd drunk more than his share. He fumbled 'round 'till he could no longer keep his feet. And stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street. Now about that time two young and lovely girls h...

One of the things I learned in Rescue is to take steps after an incident to assist with the natural human responses to something like this. I hope his buddy takes such steps.PucKviruS wrote:*removed at OPs request*

Re: Sony DSC-W290 - 12 MP/ Wide Angle, High Dev - $500
OK, I love this setup and the results. However, I'm not a MemoryStick fan, to put it lightly. Is there any chance at all I could get a sample movie from you? Even 2 seconds would tell me alot about this camera? It doesn't even have to be underwater. Does it record RAW or jpg (or both)? Can I get a s...

Re: New Entry/Mid-level Camera Advice
Hi all - I'm also looking for a new camera, and have read tons about my choices, including this thread. I think I want a digital point and shoot with a dependable housing. I'd very much like it to have a flash diffuser. SD card storage is important, or at least anything but MemoryStick. My main purp...

Re: Thoughts on a Diver Incident
All of this brings to mind - what if this was an individual taking out an uncertified diver? If they were past 60fsw, did this diver have AOW certification? Something doesn't sound right about this whole deal. speculation really doesn't get us anywhere and just serves to rile folks up with very lit...

Re: Thoughts on a Diver Incident
I wanted to add that it was very difficult to determine the severity of the emergency by looking at the people on the pier. Most were just hanging around gawking at first. When we were trying to determine what our response should be, I noticed an individual on the fishing pier taking pictures of the...

Re: Thoughts on a Diver Incident
I've been thinking this situation over in my head, as tends to happen in situations like this. I made an "OK?" sign on my head and got no response from them. Granted, they were WAY out there. But I looked very carefully for a waving arm or arms and am positive that I never saw anyone wave ...

Incident at Cove 2 Saturday Afternoon (11APR)
Hi all - There was an incident at Cove 2 today that I would love to learn more about. Four of us I were just heading out in Cove 3. We heard a shrill panicked screaming (which sounded like a gull at first). I observed 2 divers WAY out from the fishing pier. Granted, it was a really low tide today, b...

I've noticed that vehicle there for the whole winter, but people were only around/in it on weekends. Someone should call it in - it gives the dive community a black eye.
