Re: new xen reviews?

I got a xen right before heading to Maui. It work extremley well. I had to go full brightness on the display. Depth, bottom time, avg depth, water temp and time of day were displayed on the main screen and can be easily read. You can also with some tapping (too many) you can also add a resettable ti...

Re: A few dives on Maui

Nice photos. I can recognize a lot of the places where you took the pictures. It is definitely a nice change of pace. I'll be heading there in three days for 10 days. I can't wait. Thanks for the report.

Nice entertaining video. I like how you were able to get the music in tempo with the scene changes. I hope my videos I get from Maui next week are half as entertaining. Thanks for sharing. Greg

Re: Maui in April

My first time to Maui I paid for a couple of guided tours the first day and had the guide show me the do's and don'ts. Makena Landing (5 Graves, 5 Fingers) is a pretty cool dive site once you learn where the caverns are. Also Mile Marker 14 a few miles before Lahaina is really good (you park right a...

Thanks for the video and the day of diving. You covered the monolith very well. Now divers will know what to look for when looking for the monolith.

Scooter'n Cove II

Here is a video I shot last October. 1st time with dual 50w video lights and also having the video camera mounted on my scooter. I had a lot of help from Scott at Sound Aquatics. Without his help this setup would never of happened. Hope you all enjoy it. Greg [vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/18253065[/vi...

Congratulations to both of you. My advice to all new proud papas is to encourage breast feeding far as long as possible. The benefits are worth it. :supz:

Very nice job to everyone involved. I can't think of two people to better represent life under the sound than Laurynn and Katherine. It was so much better than Monster Quest search for Octopus Gigantius. Thanks for the fine documentary.

I have more video of the Monolith. That was the Monolith in the morning. I have video of it at night. It includes a seal that fell in love with the video lights and several large octos under it. I will get it posted later this month. Pez you have to get in the water and dive to see the Monolith. It'...

Yes, that is the mysterious monolith. It can be darn hard to find sometimes. It sits around 90+ fsw. Depending on how high or low the tide may be.

Yes Virginia, The Monolith is not a Myth

Here we are scootering to the Monolith and back from Cove II. On the way back we surprised a couple of Rat fish copulating. If you ever wondered what the little flap on top of their heads is used for look closely.

Diving The Saskatchewan November 2010

We used Viking charters. Skipper's name is Ken Lund. Not an ideal boat for diving from. He was able to handle 10 tech divers with scooters. Only one person at a time could kit up and enter the water at a time.

Diving The Saskatchewan November 2010

Here is some video I took last weekend diving the Saskatchewan in Nanaimo, BC. Outside temps were 34 degrees, surface current was strong and we were diving on a charter boat that we never used before. We had many challenges on this trip but we were rewared with awesome visibility. Hope you enjoy the...

I was inside one of those subs once in Gran Caymen. Before I was really active in diving. I really wished I was outside with the divers. I guess my wish came true.

Diving with a submarine in Maui

Hi Everyone, This was taken last March in Maui diving on the Cathiginian off of Lahaina. I used Lahaina Divers for the boat charter. They are a great bunch to dive with. I have dove with them a few times before. Not to often a submarine comes a long to check you out. Hope ypu enjoy the video. Greg [...

Bob, with the glasses you wear in your avatar. I imagine they all look hot. Even the guys. But mostly I just look at the hot guys in wetsuits. Yeah, the downside to PNW diving....all the hotties are bundled up in Weezles and drysuits. LOL. It's a generalization, but I happen to find a woman i...

Re: anybody know a good mechanic?

Bob, another alternative is Greg's Japaneze Auto used to sell imprted engines from Japan with around 30,000 to 40,000 miles on them. The smog restrictions are very tight in Japan. Requireing them to change engines after that many miles. The engine are pretty inexpensive and a mechanic can doo the sw...
