Re: Do You Need A Reason To Dive Hood Canal?
Nice vid, went there the day after Christmas and spotted a piglet sound king crab on the south wall, very well hidden in a crack at about 75 ft. First one I've seen!

Hollis F1 Fins (or similar)- Borrow?
Looking to see if anyone has a pair of F1 fins I could try out for a dive or two (heard they take some getting used to). I have scubapro split fins and find myself struggling to keep up with other divers. Looking for a pair of fins that are a little more efficient. Been reading good things on the F1...

Re: Petrel 1 still worth buying?
Thanks, found a 35 dive petrel 2 and pulled the trigger. Think I got an ok deal, it looks brand new. Can't wait to get in the water.
Any idea if having a sola light on the same hand as my computer will affect the compas?

Petrel 1 still worth buying?
I have found a good deal on a used Shearwater Petrel 1, under $500. Is it worth buying, or shell out the extra $100+ or so on the used market for a Petrel 2? From what I have found there aren't many differences between the two, but info is slim. If anyone has a used Shearwater that they are willing ...

Tacoma Scuba and TLSea have been good to me. If short they will always go top off no questions asked.

11/15 Redondo
Anyone up for a dive at Redondo on the 15th around 5:00 PM. My dive buddies are unavailable this week, but after the amazing viz and numerous octo sightings last week I want to make it back in the water again this week.

Re: Search for missing diver at Cove II
So sad for the diver. The thing that disturbs me from the article is that the instructor sent two divers not yet certified on a search and recovery mission in water that had too poor of visibility to do a class. Potentially putting more lives in danger. I realize I do not know the whole story, but s...

Re: Spectacular Dive at Redondo tonight
On top of what you saw, we saw a total of 6 octos on this dive. 3 Very large ones, the one outside of the boat was amazing. We also saw a small one at the small boat heading towards the VW munching on a crab. Several Egg-Yolk Jellies, more fish than I usually ever see there. It was a great dive. Viz...

Outstanding pictures. It was great meeting you underwater where all the activity was happening. Great timing, we will be sure to forget our cameras more often! Glad we could offer lighting support.

Re: Edmonds Rookie
Thanks. FYI We will both be diving LP95s or HP 119s. This will be my 94 and 95th dives, trying to get to 99 by Thursday so I can do my dive 100 at the Cane Bay Wall in St Croix! Typically I dive in the south Sound... Redondo, Saltwater, Three Tree... Just haven't made it up this way too often.

Edmonds Rookie
Heading to Edmonds tomorrow for my first real dive there. Any suggestions on what to see, where to go? I went there before but one of the guys diving with us caused us to end the dive without really seeing too much. We were on a path to the tugboat, but never made it.

Re: WTB pullover Drygloves
I just ordered these. Seem good so far, as mentioned on the above can flip inside out for bright orange gloves. I would recommend ordering slightly larger than you typically would. I usually wear size 9, but in these the 10's feel better. http://www.diveseekers.com/Latex_Drysuit_Glove_Pull_Over_p/r9...

Re: Viz Reports Thread
Lobster Shop on 03/06, after the current stopped we had greater than 40' at the wall (~100fsw) at around 11:00 am. Best viz I have had in my 2 years of diving here! Didn't see a lot on the wall, but saw a lot of the wall!

Re: Sea lions at Redondo
I am sure they were not seals. They were fun for a bit but then got annoying, we called the dive early just because neither of us knew their intentions. They are definitely not shy!

Sea lions at Redondo
Saw my first Sea Lions tonight, and of all places it was at redondo. I could not tell if they were friendly or telling us to leave, so we bailed after a quick dive. They greated us almost immediately and followed all the way to the carousel boat. Running into both of us. It was neat to see them, but...

AOW Cert
Can I get some recommendations on a good place for the AOW cert? Looking at price alone looks like Argonaut has a great deal, but don't know any of them. TLSea has a pretty good rate as well and have been in the shop a lot and dive with a few from there on occasion. I have done most of the dives in ...
