Re: ThThTh BBQ on the Beach

Sounds like such a great time. I can’t make it but if I did I could have supplied a few plates and some 100 year old green beans that I found in gig last weekend. Hope you all have a great bbq. Cheers!

Float bags

I’m seeking about 10,000 pounds of lift capacity in lift bags to rent or purchase for a recovery project. Anyone have any to sell or rent or know a good place to start. Internet has bags from 50 pounds to 100,000 pounds for purchase. Buying used or renting would be preferred.

Re: Seasoft Fined For Dumping Lead, Arsenic

I’m not defending or supporting this fine because I don’t know the facts, but I can say this.... fishermen accidentally dump thousands of tons of lead into our lakes and streams when fishing. I know of one spot on the Columbia where we can bring up 100 pounds on one dive. Hunters spray lead all over...

Re: Twins.. HP or LP

I really like the steel LP 85s. They fit nicely and trim out great. No need for any weight belt. When you you want to go deep and long you can overfill to around 3600 and have all the gas you need. I love ending a 200' deco dive with 2000 psi still on your back.

Bottle diving anyone?

My new job puts me in Tacoma, The peninsula and Seattle during the week. I'm solo diving 1-2 dives per week mostly at night near Tacoma. I'm open to trying new sites but but have been very successful finding some amazingly cool bottles around Tacoma. If you are interested in joining me on some "...

Re: Dry suit question

I use a large commercial fan to blow on my suit and gear after I rinse it. I used to let it drip dry in the garage and it would take days to dry. I have found that even in the cold weather, having a fan or two blow on your gear for 12 hours, it dries out quickly. Not sure why it took me 30 years to ...

Re: The Bottle Thread

I found this really cool blob near Owens beach. There are no markings on it and what's really interesting is it contains a glass and metal/rubber stopper that is inside and won't come out. Anyone have an idea on the history of this bottle?

Greetings all. Long time diver, first time on a dive board. I started diving in Hood Canal in 1989 after taking a class at WSU. After 1800+ logged dives, I'm still always up for a warm or cold water adventure. Currently living down in White Salmon, WA where I dive in the Columbia as a "Public S...
