Re: Mozaik offers all L&M Lights for 30%
I’ve owned many, many, Light and Motion lights for diving and biking. Their bike lights are the best. Their dive lights in my experience are inferior to others. Eventually the batteries will fade away and then you are looking at an expensive service charge. I’ve had my lights fail twice below 180’ b...

Re: The Bottle Thread
That WT is a well known bottle and quite collectible. It’s on my list of fantasy finds someday. If I found that bottle it probably spit out my regulator and rocket to the surface screening!!!

Re: Tank input
Great feedback. Thanks. I believe my LPs are a few pounds lighter but the bottom line is I own lp95s and I don’t own 117HPs so that’s why I like them best? (Haha). Like I said, it’s great we have so many options. A low pressure 95 is full at 2400. I usually don’t need more air than this on most dive...

Re: The Bottle Thread
Cool find! Pretty tough one! Post WT like 1890 but more desirable than the TS with the slug plate This one is id’d as wa0038 on Hutchbook.com which is Ron Fowler’s site There’s one on display in the basement of the PT antique mall that was found when they dug the basement for the mall back in the ea...

Re: Tank input
It’s great we have so many options on tanks. Here is my input. I love low pressure steel tanks. If I’m doing deep tec stuff my Faber steel LP85s as doubles are my favorites. For everyday cold water dives my LP 95s work well. I fill my own stuff so I’ll pump a LP tank past its 2250 up to 3000 and now...

Re: Dry suit undergarments
The weezles are awesome. I tried one once and found it amazing. I’d try one again as they seem comfortable and affordable and toasty. I went with a fourth element 3D. It was expensive but has eliminated any need for Argon. My secret weapon and must have cold water items are the DUI 11mm hood and kub...

Light found at Ed’s Fault Discovery bay, WA
I found a dive light at Ed’s fault last weekend. It’s been down for some time and was covered in barnacles but worked when I turned it on. This amazing spot doesn’t get many divers so I’m hoping the owner can be found. It’s a big UK. Anyone missing your light??

Re: Sea star die-off
I recently did a long drift dive near Pt. Defiance and was very excited to see countless sea stars thriving between PT Defiance and Owens beach area. Over the last 5 years the numbers have gone from nearly zero to now seeing hundreds and hundreds. I’m hoping we get back to the days when these wonder...

Re: Diving as lockdown phases out
Have you driven past a Walmart or Home Depot? Divers will never be an issue to this problem.. Go diving today, tomorrow and next week. We could have a giant dive party at X-beach and have no negative impact compared to one walmart!!!! Go dive!!!

If you lost this item I found it about a stones throw from the Old Town Tacoma Pier. Thanks, The Tacoma Bottle King.

Re: Dive Insurance ....
I used the travel insurance offered through DAN and when our dive trip was cut short because of weather, I was refunded for half the dive trip including my trimix fills, hotel and other related expenses. I’m sold on trip insurance as well as DAN Dive insurance...hope none of us ever need it..

I should clarify. This is a Petrel 2 not the Perdix 2. There is no Perdix 2 yet. This computer doesn’t have AI.

New Shearwater for sale
i have a brand new Shearwater Perdix 2 for sale. The lowest I could find it listed was $849. Mine is for sale at $725. It’s new, never used, in packaging, under warranty, no tax or no shipping fees. Seems like a good deal for the last dive computer you will ever need to buy? Email cetacea97@yahoo.com

Re: "Trashure" huntin'
Yes. Columbia River. We recovered 3 of these balt anchors. One was 6000 pounds and two were 3000 pounders....they are for sale on eBay and CL. Would make an amazing decoration at your house or business. My wife hates them so they are not in my yard.....YET!!!

Re: "Trashure" huntin'
I had no idea how easy it is to float and remove trash until I recently invested in float bags. This 6000 pound anchor came up with very little effort. ( until we we reached the surface) There is not much you can’t float. If you do the math you will see that it takes about 1 and 1/2 tanks of air to ...

Re: Sea Stars are Back!!!!
I guess evolution has worked its magic and the strong survived and now there is resistance to wasting disease? I really hope this trend continues and we return to the days when you could hardly anchor your boat without pulling up your anchor and finding star fish (sea stars) attached to the anchor. ...

Sea Stars are Back!!!!
Over the last many years I’ve been so bummed to have seen all the sea stars dying off. I’d be lucky to see 1-2 during any dive near Tacoma. Last week I saw 100s if not 1000s off Owens beach area!! It was so awesome to see one or two every few feet and more species than I know. I’ve also heard report...

Here are a couple recent finds from the sound. The whisky was found by a dive buddy and is estimated at $1000. (I probably swam past it thinking it was junk) there are still a few treasures to be found out there.
