Re: A Thanksgiving Tale - Don't Let the Turkeys Get You Down

If Mr. Nicodemus wanted to come, I'd be happy to buddy up with him. We could do some REEF surveys on those places. Welcome home, MJ Mike - let's try and pull together a trip this Winter... It would be great to dive again, and I'd love to add to the REEF surveys I've done. We got to name a "new...

Re: Tahsis BC - Gateway to Nootka Sound - By John Rawlings

Oh, an exploration dive trip sounds like a blast! I bet we could find many new discoveries? Check the map out for high tidal flow zones that may contain gorgonians etc..... There has to be a shipwreck in there someplace! The Schiedyk went aground in Zuciarte Channel in 1968 and slid off the beach i...

Re: Tahsis BC - Gateway to Nootka Sound - By John Rawlings

I'm in for a virgin dive site trip. +1 for Matt's "Gotta hit Mozino Point" every now and then. And we better start saying "never dove" sites or "unnamed" sites or Scott's going to get so distracted he will be useless as a boat captain. That's why I'd have to hire a ski...

Re: Tahsis BC - Gateway to Nootka Sound - By John Rawlings

That sounds awesome I think a excellent trip would be to dive on virgin locations only Yes half will probably turn out to be crap, but think of the adventure to explore a virgin wall every dive! Now that is what I would call fun! That is one of my goals one of these times when I return to Nootka So...

so much for that tradition! has scott taken anyone to Nudi Kung Fu since we were last there? Haven't gone back down to Nudi Kung Fu cuz no one can seem to get past the Narrows. It's still waiting for your return visit. We need to come back with a team to explore new sites and see what else is out t...

I found the article and I'm gonna have to give it a try. Suppose I should find an analyser just to cover my @ss liability wise.

Now I just have to find a log to fall off of!

OK EANx 50% did help cut some time off one dive.

Very nice photos Bruce. If those shots were with fumbly (is that a word?) fingers I really can't wait to see the ones you take once you get the gloves figured out.

Your snorkel will hit the mail tomorrow.

Tried to convince John to strap on his rebreather and sit in the middle of the river but all he did was laugh at me.

Re: Replacement dry gloves?

I have viking rings and hate the thick gloves that came with them. While on a trip to Canada, I picked up a couple pairs of thin, stretchy gloves from a shop in Nanaimo for $4-5 each. Does anyone know where I can get these in Portland or preferably online? Thanks! If they are black and look like di...

Re: Cloud Sponges of Nootka Sound

I did not see an invitation for a warm water Florida redneck diver. I swim lots with alligators, but never with bears. I think I trust the gators more? Snorkel, whats that? Hey, Of course you're invited, in fact it's mandatory, ... someone has to look after Mr. Rawlings. And no worries about the be...
