Maybe drill a few holes in the hard drives. When I got rid of my old laptop, I took the hard drives to work and cut them in half with an alligator shear.

Ive never dove Three Tree or Redondo, so Im in, but Im not sure I could make it down to Redondo by 6 as I live in seattle.

Rust issues/tank longevity are my concerns here, if a little spot of rust shows up where the chip was, Im afraid it might cause more galvanizing to come loose. If thats not going to happen though I wont waste my time.

I just got my tank back from a hydro test yesterday. I was looking at the new stamp they put on it, and where they stamped it a little galvanizing looks like it chipped off. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I put paint where the galvanizing has chipped or let it be?

I was under the impression I couldnt make it to this, but I sweet talked my boss and now I can! Anyone cool with buddying up with a novice? If you are getting (or borrowing) tanks, get two, since most people do at least two dives. I don't know if I can get my spare tanks filled by Saturday, unfortunately. If I can I'll let you use them. ^ Good choice with the DRIS 1000. It's a decent handheld primary light, and makes a fine backup if you choose to eventually get a canister light. For a night dive, you will need a backup light in addition to your primary. I'm sure several of us could have spare backups available. Im planning on get...
