Re: Worthington hp 100 alloy problem
I would strongly recommend contacting the hydro facility directly. They are required by DOT to provide you with a form with test results. Also, call Worthington directly and ask about this alloy issue. Most likely what has append is the hydro tester failed to perform the 90% test (round out test) re...

Diver vs. Starfish
Last Saturday I got to the dive site very early. While waiting for my buddy to arrive, I noticed a diver walking back to his car with a Starfish in his hand. He was getting ready to toss it in his car. At first I thought this had to be student diver. Maybe I could talk to his instructor and get them...

FS: Fourth Element Subxero undergarment
I bought the Fourth Element Subxero jacket last year, I only took it diving two time. It never fit me right and I hate to keep it since it is unlikely I would ever wear it again. I really want it to go to a good home, I paid $300 it is a men’s medium Make offer (PM please) If you are interested, I c...

Re: diving in Puerto Rico?
Dan, I recommend you also try La Parguera, it is about 1 ½ hr drive from Rincon. They have 2 or 3 dive operators one I would recommend is Parguera Divers. Here you can schedule a boat dive to beautiful walls, I got to see black coral at 100 feet (the site was Guanica wall). If you have an opportunit...

Re: What are you using for wing inflation?
I guess you could be right, I should just keep working on this new configuration or go back to my old undergarment
It is very possible that I over compensated and added too much weight.
Thanks

What are you using for wing inflation?
Up to now I have been using my dil cylinder, but I hardly ever use the wing for buoyancy. Normally I use my drysuit for buoyancy, running my drysuit inflation from my bailout. Got a new undergarment, I had to add 4 more pounds and I still had a terrible dive yesterday (legs very floaty). Now I am th...

What is going on with the T-dock
Went for a fun dive at the t-dock today, and I found the sign.
Anyone know what is going on?
How long will they have the dive site closed?

Re: Maxtec Cells
A little off topic, but I taught in the Blue Hole Santa Rosa NW for a few years. Apparently sometime late 80 early 90 an Open water instructor took 2 open water students to one of the cave at about 140 feet. I don’t know if you can call them caves, but more like arms extending away from the main spr...

Did anyone else find the Dave Shaw video difficult to watch?
I have to agree with Joshua, this should be required not just for CCR divers but all tech divers.
Waynne,
I will PM my answer.

Wow, he makes this complex subject simple and clear.
He is so right about how we (diver) always blame the scrubber. Last Saturday I had a funny even happen to me and my first response was, it must be the scrubber.

Thanks

Seacure Hi-Flow for CCR
Is anyone using the Seacure Hi-Flow? Long time ago, I used to love my Seacure mouthpiece on OC (stopped using them when I became an instructor). I am starting to experience jaw fatigue on the long CCR dives. Looking at all the reasons why I stopped using them, I don’t think they apply now. Any thoug...
