Re: OCTOBER 25-26 T-Shirt Club DIve!!

Is it too late to sign up?

I want a small or extra small shirt. Any color choices?
I would need a bed possibly two more for my friends/students if that's ok. I might have to work on Saturday but can come down in the evening and dive Sunday or Sat night :)

Port Hardy Trip with John Hide Away

A dive shop in Vancouver BC is organizing a 4 days trip starting at Sep 26th to 30th to Port Hardy with Hide Away. There are still 2 spots left. The cost is $695 CAD which includes accommodation and great food. 3/4 dives a day. It's not the shop I'm working for. They asked for my help to spread the ...

Re: Decompression Workshop

Scott, thanks for having me in your consideration.

So far I have no firm plans this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Next month, I'm working Mon-Fri at a real job, and every Sat, Sun teaching/leading trips at a dive shop. I might be able to take the 6th or 27th off if needed.

Re: What's everyone's dive plan for the long weekend coming up?

I'm teaching Thursday evening, so the earliest I could leave is Friday morning as for now. I'm starting a new job next week, so a trip to oregon might not be feasible anymore. If anyone is organizing some dives in washington on the weekend, I'm still up for it :D

What's everyone's dive plan for the long weekend coming up?

I was originally planning to take my trimix course, but Don's working that weekend. So now I'm curious about everyone's plan for that weekend. Anyone needs a dive buddy? :p

Well, g-whiz, why not? If we can do underwater pumpkin carving, why not underwater movie nights? Or maybe you could rig up a cable system to get the Super Bowl live, underwater? But you would have to resolve the problem of keeping the snacks from getting soggy.

Re: Back from Hawaii and just got certified as a tech diver

Sorry, I meant 40, would 40lb be enough? Cuz I'm using the Halcyon 30lb single MC system, wings they have for double are either 40lb or 60lb. 60lb would be too much, and I'm not sure if 40lb is enough or should I go with some other brand. What regs do everyone recommend? I'm thinking either APEX XTX ...

Re: Back from Hawaii and just got certified as a tech diver

I've found the DSS Torus wings to be a pretty awesome deal ... and they perform wonderfully. Tobin is very helpful at determining the right size wing for your setup. ... Bob (Grateful Diver) I'm planning to use steel 80s plus a 40 or 30 AL stage bottle. Would 50lb be enough? DSS, is that what you u...
