Re: I know it can't be good....

It was suggested to me by my physical therapist (another issue) to stretch the area of nerve damage, I think stretch the seals and stretch you wrist. You can push your palm back and forth, with your other hand, holding a stretch for 20 seconds, which should be uncomfortable, but not painful. Probabl...

Re: How many of you would participate in ongoing cleanups?

I'm willing to participate in cleanup and video work, especially in Mukilteo. I can see a lot of fun in projects like this, practicing skills in lifting for instance. I would love to have more purposes (excuses) to dive.

Re: Hollis H-160 vs Dive xtra Sierra???

So you have a brushed motor. 20% loss in efficiency over a brushless. The loss in efficiency is heat, in the motor. To make up for the loss in efficiency, put a larger battery in there (more amp hours), just to make up the difference in efficiency . To make up for the efficiency loss' effect on the ...

You want your wetsuit to be tight fitting, too loose and water sneaks in.

Re: So, how cold is it... really?

Oh, yeah. Just after you put your mask on, push the top of the hood down, slide it to the top of your mask (wetsuit or drysuit). That takes away most of the "cold on the face" shock.

Re: So, how cold is it... really?

despite the old adage "there are people who pee in their wetsuits and people who lie about it" No, not everyone pees in their wetsuits. ya, pee is sterile when it is in the bladder, but not for long. It is composed of excess water and soluble waste that our body doesn't want inside it, so...

I also got delrin Pegs and a a 4 inch wide strip of delrin from Tap plastics all under 18.00.. complete 1.jpg You will want to test your new setup in a tub of water and get the rig buoyancy close to neutral. Re: So, how cold is it... really?

Best advice I got before my OW cert dives was to :mmmbeer: 2 liters of beverage before the dive. Gross as it sounds, peeing in your wetsuit is very helpful. Don't be shy (but wait till you're in the water :laughing3: ), and rinse well afterward. BTW, pee is more sterile than the water you are diving...

Mid water ascents in the dark. Add in a camera or scooter, and hold onto your light, oh, its in the wrong spot to light the computer. Enlighten me.

Yeah, if I can see the bottom, no big deal.

I can also vouch for the DSS, Call Tobin, tell him Mike Wilson told you to call. He gives very good advice, he'll of course tell you why his is the best, but you might find out some things about the other gear that will steer your decision. He won't high pressure you, but you will get a good educati...

I'm not an owner. This isn't an address.

Google Map though. Corner of Maryland & Evergreen Avenue (4800 block of Evergreen) 98203

Street view. Replace =D> the "adult video" :tappingfoot: with "SCUBA" :snorkel: , and you have the right place.

Looks like they are using low pressure hose for the cord. I suppose that it probably won't break (I'd rather mine DID break, if it happened on an entry to the water - better for it to break than me). I would think it would be pretty stiff and cumbersome.

So, exit on 41st, go (west) through the first light (Colby), left on the second light (Rucker), it is 1/4 mile on the right, next business past Mikie's drive through (across the street from Mikie's). Look for a big red scuba flag on the front of the building.
