Probably at least 30% of the sea stars we saw at Cove 2 yesterday were either dead or well on their way. I counted at least four different varieties.

I believe that's a juvenile red rock crab, Cancer productus.

It's hard to find any "good" news in an event like this, but I'm encouraged that someone found the missing diver's body. At least now his loved ones have a better chance of dealing with the tragedy.
