That's funny!!! So did your boyfriend end up eating it (I hope)? I agree - never had a problem with eating them before, and then one of those little buggas got my finger while I was holding him (he was really flexible!)and using my calipers - hurt so bad I barked out my reg and didn't care... now I ...

I would like to take you up on that, so perhaps we can set a time to meet. There isn't any urgency as I'm still dry for a while, but I will be sure to get with you once I'm cleared. It'd be nice to have them available for my drysuit orientation with Bob whether I end up using them or not. This way I...

Yeah, that's the other agenda - weighting (which I've already discussed with Bob). Everything is new when changing from wet to dry diving. Worth it though if I don't have to wrestle with a wetsuit! I'm currently diving jets but may make the jump to turtles if I decide to go with different rock boots...

That's all great information and is along the same lines I was thinking. Most drysuit divers I've seen didn't have them, but some do. I can see how an uncontrolled ascent could be a problem, but that sounds like a training issue instead of a gear issue. I also agree that I like having my feet up and...

Weigh in on ankle weights...
As I look forward to getting wet again \:D/ with my back injury healing nicely, an instructor recommended to me that using ankle weights with my dry suit might be a good option. They cited the fact that as one gets used to a drysuit they will surely do a feet-first ascent at some point and that with...

I'm still broken. :-({|= I have physical therapy tonight though!!! Wahoo! Three times a week! Yeah, my disk is still healing and I'm not cleared for diving yet. That damn girl who hit us really turned my whole world upside down. Otherwise I'd totally be in. There is nothing I'd rather do than get in...

Our own John Rawlings in NW Dive News!
I haven't read it yet , but NWDC's own John Rawlings has a lengthy article on GPO's in the latest edition of NW Dive News!! It says it's on page 44 , but it actually starts on page 48.
Nice work John!

Nailer - it's worth going into 5thD and watching the videos. They might be for sale too, but it's much more fun to have Mark standing with you there talking about the dive as you're watching it. What I can't believe is how long it takes the team to dive 300' down a line on scooters... it's a real tr...

Voted and joined. I think the octopus attacking the mountain is funny - like a bad Japanese movie. I commented that a wolfeel or grunt sculpin would have been cool too, but I think those who were involved did a great job. It will be awesome when those plates are out. Is there any word on which one i...
