Yes, I totally agree. Ideally, the unique markings on the case and round would help solve something or at least be recorded. It's like "gun DNA" and larger departments compile that data and cross-check it against questions in their cases. I also agree that in those departments where they d...

Dave - are you a criminologist? Here's the deal with big versus smaller department. If you gave it to Lake Stevens PD, they may or may not be set-up to easily run ballistics. If they are set up for it, they'd absoultely do it. Snohomish Co. SO would absoultely be set up as they're a larger departmen...

Good call man - I don't think it's a case of wrong or right here. You did the responsible thing, and scored a nice weapon. As for the ID, I realize now that I was thinking of the difference between the Sig Pro and the regular P-series. Damn! I'm usually much better than that. You're also correct in ...

I had another thought about it - if you do keep it (which I hope you would!), I woud probably rinse it really well in distilled water to get any salt out, and oil it well with a penetrating compound. I might consider a re-bluing or having another finish put on it, and replacing the barrel, firing pi...

Have a great time - those little f-ers are fast! :axe: Watch out driving home - that's where I got hit after I went crabbing. ](*,) 20yo idiots are on their phones driving too fast and changing the CD on that road who will keep you out of diving for months if they hit you (I'm still very bitter :-({...

Wow. That's a boat!

Are you going to run dive or fishing charters off it, or is it just for pleasure?! I think a NWDC flag would make an excellent addition!

How big? Compressor on board? How many does it sleep? Details!!!

Well, here's a subject where I can add my 2psi to (I was a police officer in a past life before entering the private sector and oh what a sweet change that was!). It looks like an older Sig Sauer .45ACP, but it could also be a Sig 9mm or .40 (chances are due to the era of it's production, it's proba...

I agree - thanks Brian. Your description was fantastic! Sounds like a great trip and the best part was warm water and vis. I can't imagine 30 miles of 110-140fsw!!! That's neat that the only reason to dive there is the wrecks and that the rest is sand.

Please post pictures!!! =D>

Strapping me in and rolling me off the back of the boat was suggested (thanks Tom Nic!), but unfortunately I'm dry for now. Anyway, just be careful on the Mukilteo Speedway - we were stopped at a light for over a minute before she hit us... at 40+mph. Lots of people speed there... I suppose it's app...

I don't know whether the dateline or the Tom Cruise reference is better! I'd heard about it, but had not seen it yet. Apparently there were people upset by the plane crash in response to recent events (Kentucky plane crash), and their local NBC station wrote a complaint but it never went anywhere......

Once my back is cleared for diving, I'll be joining you up north and at cove 2 (depending on that week's schedule). Just when I finally have all my gear together, I'm stuck with physical therapy. When driving home after diving at Mukilteo, just be very weary of 20yo girls #-o from Whidbey Is. #-o dr...

That's a good question - I would be more concerned with what little issues the buggas would bring with them into the fish tank which might hurt or kill the other fish. I'd also be concerned with cold water fish being placed in a potentially tropical setting as most salt water fish tanks are. As far ...

The little Grunties are just about the cutest fish in the Sound. I love how they "flutter/hover" around and just sit on things. TLG, you should really take Janna's REEF fish ID class next time she offers it - it's VERY informative, and at the end if you want to take the test you can become...

One of the best pieces of advice GD gave me when we first met was to get the big rubbermaid bin, but get one with wheels on one end of it. It sure makes dragging your gear around easier. That way you're not carrying your gear nor are your requiring help to carry it. I think I got ours at Fred Meyer ...
