Re: Probably a stupid question but I have to ask

+1 on what Koos said, especially the part about Lynne. :) I've found that an approach in other hobbies/lines-of-work for me also is true for team-diving. Here are the 4 components in order of priority. 1. Mindset 2. Tactics 3. Skill 4. Equipment Don't get caught-up on the equipment part... the most ...

Re: Florida trip video

To be honest... I needed pockets and wasn't able to hook up with someone with x-shorts to borrow in time. BUT... it was delightful in only a base-layer and I was thankful for it during the surface intervals where a cool breeze turned into a chilling wind.

Florida trip video

Spent some time in Hawaii, California, and Florida in February doing stuff with Liquivision and was spoiled by warm water, great vis, and even the chance to kill lionfish. Here's a quick video of one of our days of product testing in southern Florida. Yes... it's like this, even in February. A drysu...

Re: Anyone dive the Santi BZ400?

I've got two of them - one heated and one not. They're both exceptionally warm and have a great "density" without losing more flexibility than necessary. Obviously more material adds to warmth but it also adds to bulk. Santi mitigates much of the common issues by cutting the suit properly ...

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOUNDER.....uh

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm still around... lurking in the shadows, stalking you as you go about your day. I've slipped to 4th place?! Hmmm... what classic and predictable NWDC hand grenade can I toss out there to cause a 200-reply, 2000-view flame fest? Meh, that's too easy. Perhaps I'll ju...

Re: Worthington 119s as Doubles or Singles...

Matt is correct in saying that I've always been a firearms enthusiast. There are a few events coming up that I'd like a very specific rifle & shotgun for. Given that I'm only diving 130s anymore (singles & doubles), I'm thinning the herd of the sets of 100s and the 119s. Haven't lost interes...

Worthington 119s as Doubles or Singles...

Selling two Worthington HP119s: $650 for them as doubles with bands and manifold or $500 for the pair as singles with "Pro-valves" (Yoke or DIN). Tanks are in-hydro and I'll put a fresh vip and cleaning on them along with any air or nitrox mix you want. They're great tanks and have been on...

Re: Dive Accident at Keystone today

I am really proud of the way the team managed this incident. Everyone immediately jumped in to help and, more importantly, everyone stuck with their "assigned duty" so to speak. In an incident like this, no job is more important than another - they're all necessary. The job of standing ove...

Re: CONGRATULATIONS are in order!

I totally agree with the community-involvement prior to the course. I was fortunate enough to meet Bob Bailey before I started diving... and, subsequently, was initially exposed to this style of diving. He did it that way so I thought everyone else did, and so I tried to do it that way too. Then I m...

I love my biometric mini vault too. So how reliable are these biometric safes? And how are they powered? (I'd search for myself but I'm currently on my phone. And always lazy, too) I've only had two mis-reads ever, between two of the biometric micro vaults. They hold up to 120 prints and are powere...

Okay, so what is the difference between Gue,Team Diver and DIR? Are there just a few simularities? or several. This is a honest question and I'm not trying to start any Flame wars! Hey Sounder, would you be willing to tell your story about the AED on video? I think there will be media opportunities for some 'what ACF has done for the community to garner such support' stories, and that would be an outstanding one... I'd be happy to shoot it, or maybe Laurynn or Dan would be in...

FWIW, Yvonne and the other owners of the business were very helpful and supportive in the placing of the AED. There might be a case to be made fo...
