Re: mask - nose area

haha! that's a good strategy. I will probably be purchasing a new one in the coming months. I like the one I have but I do need a backup and want to see if the new one will fit better. This weekend we'll see if my mask leaks again. I might head up to hoodsport the last weekend of August CaptJack. If...

Re: Altitude change

No cabins... They were all booked. I'll make a note to go east of the cabins for the good stuff! Thank you :)! There will be a group of at least 8 of us diving. I can't wait! I bought a computer today and can't wait to use it :joshsmith:

Re: Cressi stuff for OW cert?

I used my cressi mask and dry snorkel for OW and it was fine. I bought it awhile ago for snorkeling and it's been doing fine for diving.

Re: Altitude change

Thank you all - I did do a bit of research yesterday and watched a few videos on dive tables and know about the additional +2 pressure grade per 1000 ft of elevation (yay! learning :) ) I am actually driving down the night before the dive so I should be ready to go for the first one. I've just never...

Altitude change

I'm diving clear lake next weekend near Sisters, OR. The surface elevation of clear lake is 3,012′. Our dives will be <60' and we are planning a 2 tank dive. Can someone direct me to a dive table or some info to calculate how long I must wait before going up to McKenzie observatory, which is 5,325 f...

Re: mask - nose area

Ok thanks. I am able to keep it on my face just from breathing in my nose, but once I'm in the water with the reg, that's when I start to get water in the nose. The dive shop I got certified through will be happy to find/sell me a mask so I'll ask them this week to try some of them on. Thanks for yo...

mask - nose area

I keep getting water in the nose area of my mask. I've tightened it, loosened it, and i'm out of ideas on how to fix it. Cold water up my nose freaks me out. I'm asian, so i've had a pretty hard time finding masks that fit correctly... No nose bridge, and just a flatter and wider face lol It's a cre...

Re: noob diver

CaptnJack, that sounds cool - let me know when you're planning on heading out to those areas and I'll try to make it up there. I'll just need a bit of notice to rent gear and put it on the calendar <3 I'm in port orchard and I have a small boat. There are a couple of beginner-ish sites I'm happy to ...
