Hello....
I have been taking pictures a while... (Bastet photos) and I just built my own strobe cords. I’m curious if anyone else has. I have a couple of design problems I’m trying to overcome. I got really tired of those silly thin things that break on sight and cost $100 a piece.

LOVE the crab shot, very very intense shot. I like the cockscombs too. They are very shy. I usually just wait and while and see if they will come out to get a shot. Very nice job! hey, that MY lumpsucker!!!!!

Re: A Day Under the South Sound
Wow! Like! Very clean, and the music was great. Some people do really great video and then choose puzzling music but yours compliment each other nicely. I have to agree I have dove both these sites a lot and I REALLY like the structure that you chose at Pt. Defiance wall (usually I'm looking in ever...

This was a really magical dive for me and thanks Bob for putting up with my fumbling as I am learning how to take better shots with my camera (fins up and belly down!)... My 201st dive and I see 7 lumpies in beautiful colors and teeny octos and a marbled snailfish and I actually got some good shots....

Re: E-PL1 Users Group
I have a sola 500 as a focus light and I love it. And that sucker is BRIGHT. It can annoy the critters as Lynne says. So be aware of that. If you get the 800 it has a red light that you can use, and fish do not see red so that may help with shy fish. These lights run at $300. I got a small deal on m...

I can come up 2/9, is anyone else interested? I have an Oly too, so if we all went in at least we would all be shooting the same syst...

Yay Greg you just solved my ID puzzle too. I was looking at my key and it spoke to looking at lines under the chin for identifying between slender and high. I don't know about you guys, but I don't get many opportunities to chuck these guys under the chin and look at the lines...!!!!

Can't believe I still haven't done Keystone... Oh Tom, that's a must do, really. I could dive and dive there. I had a beautiful epiphany there with my good buddy Lorne who taught me to spend more time looking at shell hash and cobble to see tiny cool stuff. I saw my first sturgeon poacher there and...

Re: NWDC tshirts - what size do you want?
I am late and I apologize for that. I would LOVE a women's cut t shirt size L. I hate unisex, I am not unisex or a guy. Ok enough said. If you get one, I'll pay extra. If not, oh well.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I'm so jealous. I must get up and dive this site. I have to steel myself to the 4 plus hour drive. Ah we'll. I'm getting to know I5 north very intimately, where the Starbucks are, the Costco gas station I like, etc!

Re: Undergarments (again)...
I wear a White's TF and heavy weight body armor underwear. I have a tri lam suit. I went to a White's TF as I lost 50 pounds and there went my previous insulation :) I am warm and happy now, even on hour long dives combing eel grass. Body heat is such a personal thing you just have to get what works...

BCD vs. dive wing set up?
I'm trying to do a little research on perhaps switching my current set up from a ipearl BCD with lever to a dive wing set up. I've been thinking about this for a number of reasons, but primarily because the jacket BCD is really starting to hurt my back. I also get frustrated with the way the D rings...

Re: New rock scallop reporting requirement
Hey thanks for posting the new requirement for scallop harvest as I DO make the rules (used to work on the ODFW regulations anyway- do not currently)and leaving the shells is a great idea! ODFW needs to get a better handle on scallop populations and as you know, they are very long lived, so want to ...

Oregon divers storm Washington!!!
Ok, well it was only three of us... however... If you work for the State in Oregon you have 14 [sarcasm]delightful interludes[/sarcasm]over 2 years called "furloughs"- usually on Friday, and it's a day where the State can't afford to pay you- so it's a mandatory day off. So why not dive on...

Re: Wacky nudifest at Edmonds
Wow Lynne love that shaggy mouse. Me thinks your crab is a Pagutus hirsutiusculus, hairy hermit crab, according to Greg's book. Conspicuous white band on the end of the propodus of the walking legs which you can see in your picture and older crabs are the olive brown color. I think anyway..... Looks...
