If you are splashing around the usual time, the river should be well over, as that is the bottom of the ebb tide. While unpredictable, the Redondo river likes to strike around the midpoint of an extreme exchange on the outgoing tide. This produces a strong current running perpendicular to the shore,...

Not really much room. I think there are what, 4 parking spots now, and the locals try to park in them. Possibly room for a pop-up up by the gate tho.

I managed to catch a nasty cold on New year's Eve. Unfortunately, with an actual dry drysuit, I will have to pass. Hopefully I kick this soon.

A little late, but never too late, right?! 5 of us braved the Pineapple Express to hit the Dond for a wet dive. The wind was blowing, the rain was pouring, but the vis was pretty good at depth. Shallow had a lot of particulate from runoff. Of course we found some lumpies among all the usual critters...
