Re: Tanks Stolen 6/8/09 Octopus Hole
Kirby, if you will contact the Dive shops, they should have copies of the VCI/VIP information on the tanks. If you would like to post those serial numbers here (or at least send those numbers and tank descriptions to the local dive shops) it might help someone find and recover those tanks, or keep o...

Re: Good deal for Dual?
Hmmm, come on down to the Edmonds UW Park for a work dive. You will find many of us use a similar set up. A set of old 72 twins with an old style manifold is good servicable gear for what we do. Hydro, tumble and vip the tanks, use the bands, put a wing under the hard plastic backplate, and use them...

Re: NW Wreck Dives book now available!
Excellent Book Scott - my compliments!
Scott came to our diveclub meeting last night and spoke about his book. I bought 2 copies, one for me and one as a gift. It's great I've been waiting for a good reference to come along on Puget Sound wrecks. It's well written and well researched.

Come out and join us anytime. The EUP is always looking for interested volunteers. The opportunity to help work on the park is available every Saturday and Sunday. Re: how to package a scuba tank for shipping?
I would hesitate to ship a bare tank. Scratches, gouges and dings can cause your tank to be rejected at it's next VCI or Hydro. Check with your LDS for a spare box.

Re: Edmonds dive story in the P-I (6/17)
Nice Article Amanda! Maybe it will encourage a few NW Dive Club members to come out and volunteer, eh? Bruce is always looking for volunteers. He always needs a few divers willing to kick their fins off and lend a hand. Besides where else can you learn to use a wheelbarrow underwater? Or a 2 wheeled...

Re: Underwater Mapping
Hello all, I have another question, it's about dive site mapping. First I was wondering if people could post the maps they have made so everyone can see. Also I was wondering the best method for creating your own dive site maps. I have found three ways: 1. Dive a bunch of times and hand sketch it o...

Sorry, I'd love to join you but I'm in Wichita until the 9th. Four Washington State Ferry Boats shutting down operations? Apparently according to one of the spokespeople "These 80 year old boats are 80 years old and they're old." I say...... SINK 'EM!! Here's the story: http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20071121/NEWS01/711210061 Hmmm, you sound like ...

To be honest, I have thought many times of anchoring outside the park with my zodiac to save that *** long swim. Come out and join us for a few work dives. After a few dives with Bruce you will realize that any dive where you are not towing a load of concrete and lift drums with you is an easy dive...

Re: Boats in Edmonds UWP
I went out with my lovely better half this morning to dive Edmonds Underwater Park. I haven't been to the park in darn near a year. I notced immediately that there was a 38-40ft Bayliner FB boat anchored just over the vicinity of the old Triumph and the Cathedrals. Some of the Higgins work crew sai...
