Welcome to the forum thomo. I'm in Portland too and dive a lot up in Puget Sound and out at the coast. Haven't decided if I'm going to the club dive yet. If I do make it i'd be happy to dive with you. If I don't make we should hook up for a dive another time.

Just wondering if anyone has a right handed (if you're looking at the inlet, handle's on the right) one? Or, does anyone know where to get one? I dont need the isolator, just a valve. I'm using it for a set of sidemount tanks. They seem to be pretty hard to find.

I'd recommend Dave Ishmael or Mark Pendley from Underwater Works in Tigard. I too, hear good things about Dan and Georgia from Seven Seas.

I'm a big fan of HP100's. I think they are the perfect tank. I do have two 130's though. It's always good to have the extra gas when you want it. No way would I double the 130's though. My back would hate me.

I did my first 25 dives in a farmer john 2 piece wetsuit. On dive #25 I came up out of the 48 degree water already a little chilled to do my surface interval before dive #2 in the 38 degree weather at Three Tree in November. After about 15 minutes I could not feel my feet and was just way too cold. ...

You could always find another couple of divers to go with you and do two in, two out. That way everyone is either diving or doing an SI, no one is just sitting. You could probably even find another diver or two who would be willing and able to drive your boat too.
