Re: Newport- The Fingers
I have been listing the dive sites I have been to around Portland/Vancouver at planyourdive.com I really like that website as the tide graphs are cool -- Someday I will figure out how to read them. I would like to find a person who can dive with me around the Tillamook area sometime. I read the dive...

Re: did anyone see the mola mola at redondo today?
haha Splatman and I frequent the same dive shop ... go to the same dive site at the same time and I still have not met him ![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
I didn't see anything out of the ordinary on the dives and we headed back south about 1:30 pm
Still getting adjusted to my drysuit but its coming together OK

Ah that is the old ship that was at Maury Island barges.
When I saw it sitting there last summer I expected it to sink pretty quick. I am surprised they could even tow it anyplace![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
It was a complete floating pile of junk.

I now have 7 dives in my drysuit -- and while I need a lot more practice with it :breakdance: I don't ever plan on diving wet again in the PNW! -- Its just too nice being dry and warm. Re: Long way out -- 9/19/2009 - Newport Dive
This dive was a very cool experience! Certainly another one I will put in my rotation for a yearly return visit. Hopefully Gooch comes by with a good report and uploads his critter video! I only got to see crabs, various little fish and a Lions Mane Jelly and didn't drag my camera around. Getting mo...

Re: Does anyone here dive a Bare Trilam HD Tech drysuit?
Well I just got one -- Only 5 dives so far. I am not a good person to compare it to anything since its the only and first drysuit I owned or dove but..... It seems indestructible Underwater I don't even notice it The neck seal (no trimming) is comfortable on the surface Likes: XL Tall fits me about ...

I was just there on Monday for the first time! Cool place - I will visit it again. I agree with what Pogiguy said --- Arrive early early early to ensure a close parking spot. Last monday even on a partly rainy day lot full by 10 AM Its a long long swim to the bouys, but the park is wonderfull and wo...

It is much different than the sound and it's not worth comparing Well Cool! I am going to Newport on the 19th with the 7Cs so now I am really excited. Does anyone have any first hand info on diving Oregons scuba park at Florence on the North Jetty? http://www.dtmag.com/dive-usa/locations/CentralOregonCoast.htm Its almost typical Oregon to have a scuba park then make you drag around a dive flag or stay within 50 feet of an anchored dive flag :) Mig...

It was a cool dive - I look forward to doing it again sometime. I dove it this weekend wet.
It was pretty cold but on a nice day with a nice fire and good food it was still worth it.
I can't wait to dive it dry next time![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hopefully he can put up No Trespassing signs and direct people to go by his dive shop. There people could sign a waiver if its a liability issue, perhaps even make a donation for site upkeep and be allowed to access the shore to dive. It would be great if he kept all this upkeep money in the bank an...
