Great shots. As a citizen-scientist monitoring station, I imagine with all the reduced water traffic the large aquatic mammal wildlife are wondering why things have gone so quiet, and you may see more sightings with reduced boat traffic. I wonder if they get tinnitus too? Your observation that the d...

Lily- This is awesome. As a classroom science teacher, I am excited to see your progress. One of the lessons I teach is how light changes underwater, refraction, distortion, color shift, and so on (and why!). With the current status of school being "remote" I'm always looking for resources...

Well, something a little different today from Port Townsend. Live ammunition, circa WW I? And a few older bottles, the two on the right are probably from the 1890's. bottles200314a1.png bottles200314b1.png Ammo looks to be a stripper clip for an M1 Garand (WW2). Possible for older rifle, but would ...

Growing up, going to my grandpa's cabin on Camano Island, we'd often have to clear the logs from the driveway ramp to the beach and the bulkhead. As residents on the beach were not impressed with chainsaws, we would grab the peevees from the shed and roll them up the driveway to dry and would proces...

Trashure Diving in a lake
So back about a month ago I went for a dip in a local lake to, again, clean up trash. Had to call the PD about my find. Also did a favor for a fisherman. The dive itself was good and cool. Max depth 20-ish feet. By the time I was done "Up" was the way the bubbles went. You'll see how dark ...

Cool article Norris. Anyone up for a lobster dive? (never thought I would EVER say that one in this area of the US) I'm game for an invasive species hunt! Its sort of whimsical! Kinda like a snipe hunt. When we were kids my parents would make us run around at night with a trash bag, near the sand du...

Ya. that thought has occurred to me- off load the lot. Condition is good to excellent on all of it and the techs have parts to get regs working. The open system would make a good paper weight on desk! Gathering there are no vintage mask collectors here, so I'll give them to my 'connection' to put on...

Vintage Dive Gear-Help (opinions)
I've had a few vintage dive masks fall into my possession: 1. Sears Compensazione (Made in Italy) 2. Swimmaster Wide view (has a neoprene face seal) 3. Nemrod Denia I don't need the clutter. While they certainly are cool, they aren't in the best condition (some holes in the nose pocket of the Nemrod...

Welcome aboard! I'm interested in doing some 'low barrier' dives. I'm shaking the rust off and did my refresher a month-ish ago and have done a few dives since.
