Re: Whidbey Island Critters
Great photos Jan! I like how you not only have a close photo, but a farther out phot so you get the size of the creature.

We had plenty of parking when it was 18deg two Sundays ago. The week before that it was two of the three, but not dark. Parking was ok. dark must be the magic mixer.

Re: My side mount kit will soon be here
At some point we will dive together. He had some family things that he needed to focus on that were defiantly more important. I am on my third side mount dive with this rig and still have tweaks to do, but it is closer. I also have skills I need to build up like putting on the bungees and taking the...

Re: My side mount kit will soon be here
Yeah I had bought the 100s and the 80s (for my wife) when initial thought was back mount. I'll probably move to LP 72, but I have other things I need to spend money on. It is funny you brought up the butt pouch because I was looking at them and everyone is freaking proud of them. I did find one for ...

My side mount kit will soon be here
I have been working on getting my weight dialed in with back plate and building my skills back with Jeff C, who has been mentoring me. My wife got me a Nomad Ray that will be here soon and I am looking forward to diving it. I will be working with Jeff more and then take a formal side mount class whe...

Annoying issue
I was planning on diving this weekend, but cut my thumb pretty bad on a mandolin slicer. It was so stupid as I knew better and should have listened to that little voice in the back of my head. I have gotten better over the years listening to that voice.

Re: Scuba Jess pics
Great pictures! I would like to get into underwater photography, but for now I have been leaving the Go-Pro on the surface. I am working on locking down my skills now that I have my own dry suit. Maybe some day I will get a camera housing.
Thanks for posting your pictures.

Redondo six gill
Went to Redondo 9/2 and met up with some friends for an evening dive. This was my first trip to Redondo. The goal was to go down about 100ft hoping a six gill would come around. About 68ft I see something to my right and this female six gill comes in. She was 6-8ft. I have learned since that she was...

Re: Picked up more gear
I am very lucky that I have several. One of my friends is Richard Morton (Dive-tronix) who is a wealth of knowledge and if he doesn't know then he calls up someone who does. Point in case when I was looking at side mount he called his friend Jeff Christensen. Jeff has been great in also answering my...

Picked up more gear
At Underwater Sport's big sale I picked up a DUI 300 insulation, ordered two 80 and two 100. Both galvanized and left and right valves. Last Friday my dry suit came in and I was able to pick up the four cylinders. Now I just need to start getting my weight dialed in.

Going to try side mount for the first time
I have a friend that I knew from a non-diving group that is an instructor. May 20th I am going to try side mount with him. I know to get good like anything you need to try it multiple times. I am hoping I will get a good idea if I want to continue with side mount and if so after we get back from our...
