Re: Craigslist deals
That was my own posting for better and mostly worse (I got laid off and need the cash). Everything has sold except for the dubs and the regs. Ill take the regs down another 50 bucks for anyone interstested. If not Ill go pawn them off for a few dollars at the dive shop.

Re: CL Faber LP 95's $250 (for the pair) fresh Hydro's
My experience on CL is that people are all talk (or BS depending on how you (I) wanna look at it). I've had a set of Dub FX faber 100s with thermo manifold and bands for sale for 500 for about a month. All I get is...are these DIN? Can you scuba with these tanks? Lame. How about a I hate CL thread?

The Chimes, Mike Anderson's, and Juban's are a few of my favs. They are in order from least to most expensive. The Chimes is basically on campus and will be packed close to gametime. You might here some people mention Walk-On's but I think the food sucks. If you have any q's let me know, I lived the...

Re: Vis Reports vs Fish Tales?
This usually depends on tides (incoming/outgoing), currents, weather, river runoff and number of divers (dive activity) and believe it or not, seals showing up for a dive. Kirsten I know it varies, its ultimatly my goal to be able to look at my dive log (or maybe someday memory) and learn whats bes...

Vis Reports vs Fish Tales?
Im curious to know how people estimate the visibility on a given dive. I know its pretty subjective but Ive seen it extremely over rated and extremely under rated. For example Ive been at Cove 2/Muk/InsertDiveSiteHere and asked a diver "hows the vis?" and get back "30-40 feet" th...

Re: What's in your save-a-dive kit?
I normally carry the standard stuff orings, bolt snaps, hoses, etc. I also like to carry at least one of the smaller crescent wrenches. They fit well into the fishing tackle box I use as my save-a-dive kit. I learned not too long ago that I wasn't able to save a dive with my box of orings and no too...

Salvo 12w LED Tips
Since so many people here dive canister lights I thought this could help people out who are interested in the Salvo 12 watt LED. So I have had a love hate relationship with my 12 watt led from Salvo. I love the light, nice focused beam for a led and 4 hour burn time in a tiny canister. The problem i...

I have an older cochran commander nitox computer I need out of the closet. It has two nitrox mix settings and a backlight that you can set to stay on during night dives or any dark dive. Works great. I also have two additional stick on screen protectors. You can download the users manual from the Co...

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear about that. You might also want to call some of the local dive shops and give them a heads up. They might be able to help in case the theif tries to go get your tank filled.

Re: Canister Lights Recommendations for PNW diving
I have the 12w salvo led. The light is great, though the handle that it came with left something to be desired. The light basically snaps into position onto the handle. You have to use two hands to turn it on with the standard handle. It also likes to pop off the handle whenever you put it or attemp...

I use fleece "4 WAY FLEX DRY SUIT UNDERGARMENT" from Ebay sold regularly by rondel101bjrr http://i8.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/c7/5a/7213_1.JPG , plus additional fleece jacket in winter. It doesn't feel really toasty but is enough in most cases for 3.5mm compressed neoprene suit. I used on of t...

I don't need any more instruction I am perfect. If anyone would like to join me I will be leading a bounce dive on Al80s to the Al-Indeskasea next Tuesday. We will be diving off my 10ft Livingston which we will anchor first so we can leave it unattended. To the less experienced diver this may seem ...

Ill be in Quilcene on Sunday. You still planning on going out west? Yep. Will be leaving tomorrow night after wife gets off work. Cabins out there are booked full, so we will be camping/tenting. There are currently 3 other divers going. I could squeeze one more in if interested. We might very well ...
