Casio Z1000

Thanks for your messages. I think I'll just go with the Z1000 for now (let someone else get the bugs worked out of the Z1200).

Which camera? The Z1000, Z1050, or the Z1200??

Can I ask why you're wanting to sell it??

I really liked the Z1000, just wondering if the upgrades are worth it?

Thanks for your message

Casio Exilim

I bought the Exilim Z1000 after hearing the rave reviews on this site. Took it to Bonaire last week where it performed beautifully. Only problem was that one of the divemasters at the resort wanted to buy my brand new camera - it's apparantly quite costly importing goods to Bonaire. So anyway, I sol...

Beautiful pics, love the nudi shots. Can I ask what type of camera you're using? Catalina Islands is a must do on my list.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks to everyone who responded to my plea for help on this camera. UWS seems to take no interest in this issue so it looks like I'll have to push the issue with them, but now I can go in armed with information. In the past Reef Master has been absolutely great responding to problems that arise wit...

Reef Master DC 500 Digital Camera problems

I recently upgraded to the Reef Master DC 500 but am having all kinds of problems. When I opened the camera housing upon receiving the new camera, I found only 3 little rubber stoppers (I'm guessing they were to go on the internal side of the housing buttons but of course didn't have enough for all ...

Hooded Nudibranchs are here!!

Dove the Mukilteo wall Friday night and found hundreds, if not thousands of hooded nudibranchs!! They were hanging on every piece of red kelp in the waters between 15 and 35' where the red kelp ends. Beautiful If you get a chance (and the tides are right) do the wall; the number of nudis is incredib...

Batfish are pretty wild huh?? It was a very cool find for us; we saw two of them together. I understand that it's pretty rare to see them. I guess they bury themselves under the sand so that just their unicornish horn/lure is out. I did some looking on Fishbase but only came up with the orbital ones??

Calvin - do a google search on red-lipped batfish that we discussed on Saturday. We didn't see the red-lipped ones in Belize but there's really no good photos of the "long nosed" batfish (they look the same but without the red lips). There so incredibly ugly you just have to see them to be...

The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the water was clear (reasonably anyway). Thanks to Diver Down for putting the trip together. Thanks to Capt. Do we want to stick with finger/hand food or can I make an asian chicken salad?

If we're going with the finger/hand food, let me know and I'll pick up some lunch meat.

Is this an open invitation? We would certainly be interested if it is. I grew up in Juneau but didn't start diving until after I left there. I did get to do some diving on one trip back and I can verify that not only is the land bigger, but everything underwater seemed to be too!!

Redundant Air

I have always had a backup 13' pony and never had to use it (thank goodness). It's just comforting to know that if I need it, it's there for me. I heard one story that the diver would not be here today to tell the story if it hadn't been for the pony tank. There's really no extra weight involved cau...
