Re: Costa Rica Dives / Recommendations
A few years ago we dove with Summer Salt out of Playa Del Coco, and thought they were good. The Bat Islands boast bull sharks; unfortunately we didn't see any when we were there.. but had a great time anyway. If you're as far south as the Flamingo area, please DO NOT dive with Costa Rica Divers. Lon...

What a great idea!! Puerto Galera especially!
Summer is no good for us.
Any chance nitrox could be included in the price?

Re: Ragfish?
Thanks Tom. That was some interesting information. Somebody from Alaska fisheries is supposed to go out and look at it but we haven't heard anymore about it yet.

Ragfish?
I'm hoping that some of our local experts here can give us some information about this fish? Larry's sister and her husband found this half dead fish while walking the beach on a very low tide yesterday in Juneau. After some calls to the fisheries experts it was determined to be a ragfish. Looking o...

Re: Costa Rica Diving
Nice video and pictures; brings back fond memories. Looks like you had fun. Anyone wanting to dive in Costa Rica, please consider NOT using Costa Rica Divers. It's a dangerously run operation; our boat sunk from underneath us 2 miles out at the Catalina Islands. We were rescued by an 18-year kid who...

Thanks Thefeve!
Unfortunately these photos didn't transfer over very bright; I'll have to remember to adjust lighting before posting.
Hey Nwbrewer, Fishtiq, Pogiguy05, and Monk (I think?) - it was great to see you guys! We don't see many people we know anymore at the Muk......

Good Mucknight!
Another great critter night at the T-dock. For a dive sight with limited underwater structure, the T-dock rarely disappoints - What the heck is going on with this poor flounder? It doesn't look like bite marks so is it diseased? Or what? P2044793.jpg P2044794.jpg This was a first for us - guessing i...

John Reading this breaks my heart. You are a true gentleman in every way. I wish you all the best in the world. Get healthy. :goodpost: Larry and I have great memories of dive trips with you to Port Hardy as well as other gatherings. While you'll definitely be missed under water, here's proof that ...

Re: Redondo ID's?????
Thanks Rich. I thought it was strange to see the anemone at Redondo as well. The crab too. We've seen them in the colder waters in the large barnacle shells but not here... And the clam looked to be the only one actively spawning. It seems that Redondo still continues to produce critters not typical...

Redondo ID's?????
Found a couple things that we could use some ID thoughts on - I don't recall seeing a brightly colored anemone like this before; is this just a really pretty rose anemone? CIMG1569.jpg Is this a pygmy rock crab? Seems like Redondo is not the area these are typically found. CIMG1539.jpg Is this clam ...

I felt bad for the little thing, though he was eating like there was no tomorrow............
We thought maybe an octopus was wrestling with it the way the legs were torn off but your answer makes more sense.
It's a brutal world down there.
