Re: Free 100 on CL South Everett.

Yes Jen I was addressing Mat (Spatman's) comments from our local Portland Craig’s list. Sorry if I was not clear but I had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. And to top off losing my wisdom I am on good drugs today.

Cresent Lake East Beach Sunday – Visibility was 60-70 ft and there was no kelp to interfere with my visibility. It was a great dive to rinse the gear. :thumb3d:

Yep Oldred, I spent some time in the Golf as a glorified underwater ditch digger. Like they say diving is not the job it is only a way to commute to work. :blah:

Salt Creek 12-14 June

My Dive buddy Ross AKA Archaeofish and I are planning to camp at Salt Creek and dive this weekend. We also plan to dive Crescent Lake. Are there other alternate sites that we can dive in the area? Were is the closest place to get good air? Is there a dive shop in Sequim? Are there dive directions an...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

At Pt. Whitney / Shellfish lab maybe 10’ of visibility at extreme low tide this morning. The students couldn’t swim far enough out the pipeline to get bellow 30’. Visibility was a little better maybe 15’ after the tide turned and started to flood.

The Salem shops dive at Big Cliff Reservoir bellow Detroit Reservoir. You guys pick a lake to dive and I will show up if I can. I would like to dive with a group of Oregon divers without driving to the Sound.

Re: better get that NWDC bakesale planned...

No giant stride needed when the boat rolls turtle just let go. Negative buoyancy will be the key. Getting back on the boat is another trick. You could attempt to time surfacing under the boat as it rolls thus returning to the position you abandoned or you could surface up wind of the boat and ride a...

Re: WTB: Weight Belt and Weights

The BC you are looking at only has a lift capacity of 37lb for the XL size. It is not a good idea to use more weight than the BC will lift. However, I am sure that the weight you use will be reduced as you gain experience. You might want to talk to your local dive shop and or your instructor.

Re: Multnomah Channel Underwater Equipment Recovery

I think that the tide still has an influence there. If you hit it on the incoming tide there would be very little current. Very little visibility almost all of the time. The tide affects all the way to the Bonneville Dam. However with spring runoff the river does not slack until mid to late summer ...
