Remember that recommended scope is 5:1 to 7:1 in good conditions. That would mean to anchor in 40’ of water you will need 200’ of rode to achieve 5:1 and 280’ of rode to achieve 7:1. Like Matt, I am in need of a new dive vehicle. I know what I want but finding it is the trick. I am looking for a 2005 or newer Nissan Fronter V6 auto 4x2 king cab with power windows and any color but black. My old BMW is just not cut out to be a dive vehicle.

Last weekend when I was in Newport, South Beach Scuba was asking for RSVPs on the Netarts dive. They want to know how much to bring for the grill. I would love to go but I have other obligations this weekend. Have a fun dive. I am looking forward to the trip report.

We rented gear from South Beach Scuba in Newport this weekend. The service was top notch. They are very friendly and helpful.
