Re: Saw Sanctum Last Night
Well, here we go. It is not really 100% Hollywood. It was 100% Hollywood marketing but director and actors are second rate from Australia, which was obvious by bad job they did. I think the best quote I saw was from the person that never dove in his life. It goes something like this. “If those idiot...

Re: What If
Me and my team red looking at the calm sea. If sun is setting down, even better. I’ll be happy.
Having another 2000 dives would work better though.

Re: Liquivision X1
I think this should go to separate thread as “How to test computers” but since there is no separate thread I’ll post it here. It happens that I am around bunch of unruly kids all day because my wife has home day care. I am sure that if I gave them my Suunto (that I don’t like) they would not be able...

Re: Liquivision X1
Uhhh! The damage is already done. As I said before I was impressed with this computer by diving with the buddy who has it deep into Mexican caves. He had some dead pixel issues but company replaced it very quickly and he is quite happy with the unit. Reading this thread I’ll just wait and see if the...

Bob (Grateful Diver) Just came back from Mexico and had opportunity to dove with dive buddy that had X1. I loved it on his hand during deco. I didn’t both...

Re: If I ran a Dive Shop, I would....
If I ran a Dive Shop, I would... give free air fills so divers would wear out thier gear faster. I'm saying "Tire Air" not Geezer Gas(Nitrox). For those that want the Nitrox, the "All you can eat" for an anual price is about the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankfull for ...

Re: in or out?
Cave, TriMix, Scooter diver.
Looking for dive buddies. Nice personality but not taking myself too seriously. Have a team. Techies welcomed, although most of our dives are in 60-100 range.

Re: Flying with a li-on battery (NHZ please)
I've flown with the 50w Salvo li-ion battery. I didn't use the airspeed press labels, but I will next time. ALL Salvo batteries are of compliant-size for flying. However, don't underestimate the moron-factor of TSA. In Puerto Rico, they laughed because they thought it was "hilarious that the b...

Re: Scooter and Edmond's Under Water Park
Ouch, I am sorry. That was us. My dive buddy told me that there was some commotion about our scooters from park and recreation people but one guy from that crowd came up and he was very helpful in assisting me to gear up (Thanks!). Never ever I heard that our scooters are not allowed. Maybe my grump...

Re: Is Scuba an Extreme Sport?
I believe any activity that has life threatening or life ending consequences if something goes wrong can be considered extreme...however i believe for it to be considered a sport, competition must be involved. So, driving on the freeway is "extreme" then. I'm not buying it. I say, like ma...

Hi Divers!
I am new to the board, but have been diving Pacific Northwest for three years so far. I am sure I met many of you during my Cove 2 adventures, although I couldn’t tell by your names or avatars. I usually dive with my regular team, which of course is “Red” colored (except one very fine lady diver who...

Re: Is Scuba an Extreme Sport?
Scuba Diving is sport. from Webster dictionary: physical activity engaged in for pleasure Scuba diving is extreme when: from Webster dictionary: sport that involves an unusually high degree of physical risk it is questionable in my opinion, because anytime you go into unfriendly (like no air!) envir...
