Re: Oly area divers?

I'd be down for a Monday dive most Mondays. However I've got a class all weekend which means this Mondays a day for chores. MZ is spot on, the odds of good viz at Tolmie this time of year is pretty skinny, but that does NOT mean you can't have a GREAT dive there none the less. The canal's been havin...

Re: drysuit info?

Dusty IMVHO you can apply most of Lynne's comments about durability of the 'bag' or 'drycore' to any Fusion. They are essentially all the same in that regard it seems. The big difference's come in the zipper configuration and the choices of skins that you have with the 'self-donning' (and Lynn state...

Re: Cenote dive video

We already did, went to Redondo a few days before our trip. The new suit stayed dry. Nice! And Jen didn't get squeezed in the calf area on this suit I'm hoping.. :-? I got mine while you guys were gone, I've had it out about 7 or 8 times. I'm really liking how it dives. I like it better than my CF2...

Re: Whites Fusion Dry Suits

Very interesting! I was taught to use the dry suit as my main flotation device and to keep the valve almost fully closed and just depress it when I needed to let air out. I suspect that is why you 'fear' a feet first ascent... that and being told 'horror stories'. Do as Richard told you and you wil...

Re: Liquivision Batteries

Does anybody know of a local source for Liquivision disposable batteries, specifically the ER3375M's? I went to the Liquivision website to order a set and the batteries were $30 plus $75 shipping if you are ordering from Liquivision (or so it seems) if you leave the delivery/shipping info on the de...

Re: Cleaning regulator first stages

I do much the same as described by Richard and Koos. But about every 10 or so dives I remove all hoses. Seperate the SPG from it's hose leave the cap off the 1st stage and toss it all in nice clean fresh warm water for about an hour then I flush it all with another quick rinse of warm water for abou...

keeping them separated will not hurt anything, and may help in the event of an extreme holding period. You should take them out every 3 or 4 months for a dip in seal saver IMHO.

Re: Favorite mouth piece?

another vote for the comfobite... no biting down for me to get a good comfortable seal which for me = zero jaw fatigue and mouthpieces that last more than a decade. At 10 bucks a pop thats one cheap mouthpiece IMVHO.

And no worries about chocking an OOA diver.
