HP Steel Tanks
I am thinking about doing a therapeutic trip out of Sitka ( if you have ever been here you understand what I am talking about) It would be a quick week end trip to the Greater Seattle Tacoma OLY area. Can you folks chime in about where I should check for good prices on buying a couple HP steel tanks...

I have a great luck with Dive Right In scuba http://www.diverightinscuba.com/ I would shop local but I don't have a local supply for anything. They treat me like I was a local customer coming in every day

Koos took really good care of me even though I am in Alaska when I screwed up and packed my batteries and then ran low before I was able to get them out of storage. PM koosScubie Doo wrote:I need them by Friday at noon.

make sure that the turkey is completely thawed. if it is partially frozen you risk an explosion into some surprisingly large flames

Re: WTB: tanks, primary light
another light to check out is the HOG morph it is labeled as a back up but it has the punch to go the distance and will go 60 to 80 mins on high with no noticeable power drop. cost is about 130 and it is about 1/2 the weight of the shorty. I love my shorty and have it mounted on a goodman handle but...

[quote="thefeve" I have found though, that the low light performance isn't great without a nice video light to go with... I'd say whatever model you get, plan on investing in a video light to go with. Linedog has the new Hog Morph with the video head, and I'm looking at it as well as a cou...

go pro question
ok the go pros are on sale this month and I am thinking about grabbing one. My question is go for the silver or the black. I don't think I need the wifi remote that is standard with the black and the last review I read said go for the silver.
What do you all think?

Re: Looking for a great inexpensive light?
The DRIS 1000 lum light (full size) , the 1000 lum shorty and the Hog Morph are all three great lights I have at least one of each of them and would not be afraid to buy any of them again, they are all great lights with different strengths. I also have two Hog morphs with a video head and am buying ...

Re: Looking for a great inexpensive light?
I have one of the DRIS 1000 s and the shorty and both are good lights with nice punch in our green waters. But another light I found to like even better and is with in a few $ the same price. This is the HOG morph it actually has the same punch as the shorty similar burn times but a fraction of the ...

Re: Navy Dive manual changed and article 32 hearing for team
Good catch I missed the line about 11 minutes of air available So yea the entire dive plan wold have been flawed but a EOD diver should have known he did not have enough gas for the dive and then to have two of them make the same mistake?

http://wtkr.com/2013/06/20/senior-leaders-decision-making-questioned-during-day-2-of-hearing-on-navy-diver-deaths/ What do you all think, Is a scuba dive to 150 for a trained EOD diver who is about ready to deploy under fire so risky that it was a poor command decision to call for the dive? Jen if you are going through housings like that I would wonder if you are rinsing well enough? I have had the same one for about 3 years now and have had no problems I soak mine over night in hot/ warm water and then push every buttons a bunch after each dive. This keeps the salt out and everything ...

Re: Looking for a great inexpensive light?
Just ordered mine - hopefully it will be here in time for a good back up light for Sitka! Tom if your light does not arrive you can borrow mine. I have the 500 the 1000 and now the 1000 shorty and you just might find that you want the shorty for a primary rather than a backup. I have been very impr...
