Re: Best options for cold water/warm water hybrid bp&w rig
All we did when we went to truk, was buy an AL plate, rig it up, carried same wing, etc. So literally my cold to warm water rig difference
is just an AL plate
is just an AL plate

Also, consider looking into a local diving club, there is Moss Bay, Marker Buoys, Kelp Crawlers, etc. Marker Buoys are the most active.

Re: Seasoft Fined For Dumping Lead, Arsenic
What many don't realize, is L&I has several enforcement units that are funded by fines. Appeals are tough, because you don't go to a judge and court, rather an L&I court, and I use that term very loosely, as rule of law doesn't exist. These units used to report publicly, but are now hidden

Re: Dalco Wall Images and planning
I hit the water about 15m after slack before flood, and got spanked. I was pushed west, not east towards the terminal. We anchored at the WSA buoy, which is ever slightly east of the old foundation. I wish we could say we learned something from this, but so far all we know is the timing diving into ...

Re: Dalco Wall Images and planning
hmm, every web search for Dalco wall slack before flood, says just that. Dive into the flood.
I see your post for 2007 stating you dove the ebb, one hour before slack (flood). Might have to try that. An hour into the flood it was looking pretty good as we were lickign our wounds.

Dalco Wall Images and planning
https://flic.kr/s/aHsmmMuwsC Down and Side Imaging of Dalco. West Wall is more sheer, but bottoms around 150ft. East Wall is less sheer and bottoms about 200ft. Now if we can just figure out how to not get spanked by current on it. Diving into the flood didnt work. By the time I hit the water on a ...

Re: Titlow Beach (Park) - Tacoma
well, DIW we generally use minimum of 1 hour before reported slack. 20m before slack at DIW you're gonna get spanked during that dive.

Not only did the rock over the trail in front of the parking lot, but now they blocked our last entrance to sledgehammer as well by building a rock wall.

Diving Dalco Wall
Jeff and I are taking the dive boat to dive Dalco Wall saturday. We know to dive on slack before flood.
But are there any offsets to the current stations we need to apply? (like we would for DIW for example).
We'll be anchoring to the WSA buoy.
thx.

Saturday 9/15 Sund Rock.
Less than 3ft till 20 ft. Opened to a very hazy 12ft (at best) all the way to 260.
What happened to the epic viz there?
