Welcome! You were a most excellent dive sherpa and good company too. I'm glad to hear your ear issues are worked out. Let's go diving!

Yes, but can you frog kick with them?

I just love shoes, but this is taking it too far even for me. :)

Peter, you could also notify some of the dive shops around here. I found a weight pouch at EUP and took it to the UWS near there. It was reunited with it's owner fairly quickly because she called to see if anybody had found it.

I'm pretty rotten with names, too, but I had a great time! It was wonderful to put some faces with some posts.

If I forget your names, I apologize in advance. :)

I saw a stubby squid, too...I wonder if it was the same one?

I think we should get a diver kite and fly it at club events. It will be like our own Bat Signal! A note on the plural: Fowler states that "the only acceptable plural in English is octopuses", and that octopi is misconceived and octopodes pedantic. Octopi derives from the mistaken notion t...

Star Trek and the Holy Grail

I was cleaning up some bookmarks and came across this gem. To quote my friend Mike... "I declare it to be the ultimate geek video, upon which all other geek videos shall be judged and fail."

SFW, but you have to have sound. Enjoy!

The group that I went with planned the trip about a year in advance. The reserved the whole resort, and started gathering people. They had a payment plan type deal where 1/3 was due in late summer, another 1/3 in November or December, and the last due in February before they had to release the rest ...

Matt S. on the board has saltwater tanks, you might want to PM him. I had a large freshwater tank for years and loved it, but I know nothing of saltwater tanks. Good luck!

Redondo on Monday was dreadful...I didn't see the bottom until right before I ran into it. It didn't improve much at depth, either.

Hellava way to come back from warm blue water... :)

I used extra strength OFF, and I had some 20% deet stuff that worked well. Deet is toxic to invertebrates, so you have to wash it off well before getting in the water. Other people had great success with Cutters Advanced spray and most people raved about Cactus Juice (m , or you can buy it at the re...

Roatan/Coco View trip report

Ah, Coco View. There is probably better diving in the Carribean, there are definitely nicer resorts, but who puts it all together in such a neat package? Except for the bugs. Good God, the bugs! No-see-ums abound and munch heartily on tasty flesh. Coco View is a diving resort, not a resort that has ...

I'm so envious that you two get to take fundies! I really wanted to take it this spring, but life keeps getting in the way. I am hoping I can squeeze it in sometime in late summer or early fall. Unfortunately, work is conspiring against me, and I might have to work late tonight. I won't know until t...
