Re: Sixgill at Redondo

they used to follow us up the lines at C2, once time an adolescent that swam with us for 15-20 min followed us all the way up to 20' deco stop. that was just a little on the disconcerting side.

Re: Wet suit neck stretch

Dive more... with continued exposure, you'll not only get used to that delicate choking feeling but pretty soon you might even start to long for it ;)

Re: Scuba is "to expensive" Huh?

Lolz

How to tell a Northwest diver? Gear costs are in multiples of the value of the car driven to the dive site. (Scooters, rebreathers, cameras, fancy Drysuits, numerous tanks...)

It's all about priorities....

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Similar at C2 on Friday (high tide) top 40' or so were craptastic, top 20 was likely student-o-cline with 5', 5-10 from 20-40 feet, with the planktocline at ~50 opening up to 15-20

HAHAHAH awesomeness! Your timing is impeccable as I've finally got the cameras sussed out and now its on to lighting. You don't have to suffer through the early painful bad stitches etc. (now just bad lighting) ;)

60' and shallower - such as goofing around at the junkyard - hp80 something like the i-beams (80-100ish) or am video'ing something, or diving with an unknown or new to me buddy then HP100, which i guess is really my go to. Deeper than 100, or 80-100 for any length of time with the camera or for long...

Pool shoot BtS

When I'm not trying to improve my #360video or wanking around with creative lighting or being a masochist trying to shoot macro, periodically I get to do some cool pool shoots for local film productions... Here is a screen grab from BtS... Yes, we even had an art department that made us some shrubbe...

Re: Okay those with long hair... What do you do with it?

Oooo... I shudder just thinking of the rats nest that baby shampoo will cause. Part of the reason for the conditioner is that it helps with the tangles, drying out of hair and ripping and tearing out... Shampoo in it's place, on salt water abused hair may help with donning but will for sure not help...

Re: Okay those with long hair... What do you do with it?

My hair has varied from long to short to long to short to long over the years numerous times. The only real answer I've found for when it is long that is truly comfortable, doesn't rip out hair and doesn't destroy it or turn it into a massive rats nest of tangles is an attached dryhood. In lieu of d...

Another luminary passes...

Northwest divers, beach combers and critter watchers... A moment of quiet reflection is warranted.

Dr. Eugene Kozloff passed on Saturday at age 95.

The brain trust continues to diminish.

Maybe someone wrapped a scooter prop up and had to cut it free and just hasn't had a chance to fix it yet? I haven't checked in the past few hours but as of this morning the poo warning is all the way down to Alki beach park. Obviously several miles north of Redondo but as we all know, 'it's all connected'...
