Re: Hard Cases

Thanks Bob, I need to be down by Renton tomorrow so maybe a stop in at Fry's is warranted. I really hate going in there, but if I have to....

Hard Cases

Anyone know of a good source for either Pelican or Seahorse cases local to Seattle/ East Side? I'm looking for a case for camera gear.

Re: Just had to say....

Just breaking in a new Fusion Tech with the EVO3 boots as well! You're really going to like that suit. What undergarment are you using? +1 on the Thermal Fusion!

Re: Newbie on the steep slope..

I returned from Turks and Caicos where I had a chance to try out the new RX100/ Ike housing/ YS-D1. Since I'm very new to underwater photography, the goal was to just get used to using the camera in a housing with strobe and try some post processing with Lightroom. The photos here on Skydrive were a...

Newbie on the steep slope..

Now I've done it...just received a Sony RX100 with housing/strobe on order (due in tomorrow). I'm fairly at ease with a topside Nikon D5100, but trying to get my fat fingers used to the new camera and housing is going to be an interesting and steep learning curve to adapt to the water! After doing s...

Re: Undergarments (again)...

To end the story, I did go with the TF and with two dives on it so far, it seems to work well in using it under a Fusion Sport I was trying. Towards end of 2nd dive I was starting to get a little chilly, but not even close to the shivering stage. I was wearing a Northface poly wicking tee shirt, UA ...

Re: Undergarments (again)...

I did try on a TF and really liked it, even though it took a litte effort to keep the legs from bunching up. I did like the mobility and it did seem super warm. I'm curious how that compares to the Bare SB, which also looks interesting and seems to run a little less expensive (and easier to don).

Re: Undergarments (again)...

That MK3 would be really tempting if I weren't favoring the XL right now (currently take an XL for the Exotherm and DUI bunny suits).

Undergarments (again)...

I'm a fairly new dry suit diver and have tried USIA Exotherm and a DUI polartech bunny suit for rental undergarments and have been fairly comfortable in each one. I'm rapidly starting to figure out that putting a couple $ into a decent undergarment is probably a good investment while I try and figur...

New to NWDC

Hi All,

I've been a lurker for a while but finally got signed in. I'm fairly new to PNW diving and drysuits, but have a fair amount of experience from Southern Cal, and the Southeast. Looking forward to learning about the local diving for sure!
