Pacific Red Octopus - Rare Capture

Last Thursday for ThThTh I had a rare encounter. I was at the battlefield my my two buddies (gdog and Val) when I saw a tiny Pacific Red Octopus. Over the years I have seen thousands of PR Octos. However, they usually scoot around and when they swim, they jet off and ink. However, this little critte...

That’s legit! Wish I had $11M to spare. Just think someone like Bezos could literally build this for .00006% of their net worth. Lol

Re: Where to go in October 2021

I would look at Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos. It is a beautiful island, east to get to, and amazing wall dives. I went in the March timeframe, so not 100% sure about October.

Re: Looking for photo buddies

Gina,

Welcome. We have a lot of photographers on this forum. The weekly Thursday dive (ThThTh) has several photographers. It is a little south, but lots of good divers attend on a regular basis.

Jesse

Curt- when it comes to diving, it’s not a sin to be envious :) these creatures are elusive for sure.

Sixgills and more....

The past week of diving has been truly amazing. Starting on Saturday, I hit Skyline with some good friends. Followed that up with Keytone, then back home for some six gills searching at Redondo. Last night was truly amazing as we swam with a couple six gills for 10-15 minutes. Here are a few shots, ...

Hood Canal Question

Hello y’all. I am curious how the diving is from the Glen Ayr RV dock? Has anyone dove there, is there anything good to see?

Large Lobster at Redondo

Got to Redondo early today for ThThTh. Unfortunately, I could not stick around for dive 2 and the BBQ. Had a very interesting dive though. Saw the new GPO at the pipe, Small Octo, got buzzed by a Spiny Dog Fish, saw a Mosshead Warbonnet, and came across a large Lobster. It was beautiful and looked d...
