Re: Light feet
I have Atomic Split fins and am currently wearing 2x2lbs of ankle weights. For most of the dive, everything seems fine, but at the end of the dive my feet seem light.

Light feet
If you had to guess, what would you think is a more likely cause of light feet at the end of a dive: Lighter HP100 Steel tank Didn't get all air out of feet of drysuit For the first, I might try moving 2 more lbs of weight to my feet. For the second, I'd try to get more air out of the drysuit feet a...

Re: Water Temperatures in Puget Sound past 17 months
Here are my temps via a Cobra dive computer (you can tell it's native Celesius). This is various Puget Sound locations, but over half at Edmonds. Everything is an average.

Re: Raw sewage pumping into the sound
We dove at Edmonds yesterday (Sunday) and had no problem. Many people were diving the afternoon slack. This updated report from Saturday shows the numbers down, even close to the plant: http://www.kingcounty.gov/~/media/depts/dnrp/wtd/report-response/incidents/2017-02-09-storm/2017-02-11_water-quali...

Coverting regulator back to Yoke before a trip
Greetings, Does anyone convert their regulators to yoke before warm-water trips? Our details: We have Aqua Lung Legend regulators. We bought them as Yoke, but we had them converted to DIN (when we bought HP tanks for local dives). Now we planning warm-water trips to Florida and beyond. We're wonderi...

Drysuit: Extra layer of clothes, how much extra lead?
Greetings, A survey: In the Winter, do you wear an extra layer of clothes under your undergarment? A heavy hood? If so, what do you wear and how much lead (if any) do you add? Details: Yesterday, we had to end a beautiful Edmonds dive early because we were too buoyant. We think we needed more lead t...

Clay, on Saturday morning I lost a Backscatter Macro lens and green water filter in 7 feet of water at Redondo. If you found it (or someone finds it later), I'd be very happy. - Carl

Re: Sund Rock Invertibrate
What's funny is that I've seen and identified Short Plumose Anemone before, but this time it didn't click in my mind. Perhaps, because of the angle. Crab ID and Anemone ID
Any idea what this crab is? He's about 1 inch wide. To me it looks like he has few plants stuck on himself, so I like the idea he's a Decorator Crab, but he doesn't look like the ones in pictures. microcrab3b.jpg I assume this is a Sea Anemone, but I can't find pictures of ones so branchy. Any ideas...

We have reservations for Memorial day and I have questions I'd love help with. We own one tank each. Should we rent 2nd tanks or does filling there mean one tank is enough? Is "Maze" (near Zig Zag) worth visiting?
Anything else?
Also, is my memory right that trails such as Glacier Way and Centennial Way are harder to follow than Jetty Way and Northern Lights?
