Re: Drysuit Glove System - Which is best?

+1 for Viking Dry Glove Cuff Rings. They are fairly inexpensive, simple to install and they've kept me dry - I have no complaints.

Re: Fantase Housing FLAW!!!!

Fanatasea responded to my response with details and close up photo with a suggestion I might like a new Nikon 7000 and housing. They indicated they no longer make their housings like that. Maybe I misread this, but did they offer to buy you a new camera and housing? Now that would we quality service!

I specialize in identifying fish bones, but I'm pretty sure you've got a deer (or other ungulate) vertebra there.

Re: UFO at the bottom of the Baltic?!?

We should have matching drysuits, like these guys! Or at least a NWDC drysuit logo/patch. And pictures of us wearing them with our "serious face" on. Apparently that's how you become a professional diver. (Was it just me or did anyone else start laughing when they flashed this guy's pictu...

Re: diving from a kayak

Hi Matt, Yes, there is a small group of kayak divers in the Seattle area and I'm working on building up a group of kayak dive buddies here in Portland. I've got a couple of sit-on-top kayaks that I've rigged for diving and I would be happy to show you how I've equipped them and dive them in differen...

FS: 2 Steel HP100s

I have two HP100s that are looking for a new home. These tanks have narrow necks with 7/8 UNF threads and are currently outfitted with US Divers DIN valves. Both have current Hydro and Visual inspections (July 2011) These are older tanks but they still have many dives left in them. Asking $200/each

Re: Tides Tavern dock, New Years Day

There are a lot of cell phones and other recent junk that gets dropped off that dock (one of my buddies even found a complete upper denture plate - I'm not going to speculate on how that got there...) so bring a goody bag and help clean up the trash, but be on the look-out for little critters too - ...

Great story Curt!

Janna: Is it too late for Curt to file a REEF report or has the statute of limitations run out on that one?

Thank you,

I've seen a salmon shark in the San Juans This comment cut through the deafening din that is my life at the moment and punched me right in the face. Re: Sitka AK November 2011

There aren't a lot of people diving out of Gustavus right now, but the new ferry access will definitely make it easier to get tanks out there. Having fished extensively around Icy Straits, I am sure there are some great dive sites that would be accessible from Gustavus. If anyone is interested in v...

I just moved from Seattle to Portland and I'd like to avoid becoming a certified cyberdiver! Once my field season winds up (probably in October) I should have some weekends free if people are looking to fill carpools north to the canal or to the sound. I look forward to meeting more Oregon divers in...
