Just FYI, a new airline regulation requires all batteries to be removed from everything. Apparently, flashlights are causing fires.

Valerie (Zen Diver) and I will be hosting this event. If you've been to a critter watcher dive before you know how much fun they are. And if you've never been, it's about time you came. We will be providing any fish ID information that you need. Valerie and I are both Fish ID experts and Janna Nicho...

I have occasionally had this same problem.
Actually, earlier today when I signed on and hit the "View posts since last visit" it said there weren't any although there were many. Then when I logged on this evening, there was no problem.

In a society that tips people for giving you your coffee I guess pretty soon we'll all just have to keep ones and fives on us all the time to randomly tip anyone who happens to walk by. Sheesh! I would never expect a tip from a OW/AOW class either no matter how much help I gave. These people are lea...

It really depends on your personal comfort level. I was able to dive all winter long for the first 2 years I dove, doing 2 or 3 dives in a day quite often. I ended up doing more than 200 dives in a wetsuit before going dry and only once did I call a dive because I was cold. Most of the time I was di...

I'm 5'8" and 165 lbs and definitely not solid as a rock but in fair to medium shape. I dive with HP80's and have great air consumption so the 80's allow me dives consistently longer than an hour. The only problem with the 80's is that they are short enough to be a little awkward getting into yo...

I guess I'll start looking for a therapist tomorrow. My wife has been telling me for a couple of years that I need to go to one about my addiction anyway. My scuba addiction, that is. :laughing3: All kidding aside, it WAS very disturbing and I hope divers are taking this to heart and not just being ...

A dentist tool thingie to help pop out o-rings (I find it works the best) Paint pen to mark that new piece of gear I forgot to do at home when packing....

Yes, it especially sucks now that gas is so costly. But I try to not let it stop me. Did 20 dives in July and almost that many in August. A lot of travel time. But 6 hours of driving is a small price to pay for 3 hours underwater. :fish:
Thanks for the welcome.

Hey everyone. Heard this was a good site to check out. For those of you who don't already know me or dove with me-I've been diving about 4 1/2 years-have almost 400 dives, all but 20 in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a PADI AI and a REEF Pacific Northwest Level 5 Fish & Invertebrate ID specialist. A...
